Outchasers is a 1v1 sci-fi strategy card game where players jump behind the controls of the ultimate weapon, a heavily weaponized mech capable of deep space travel. With supplies dwindling, your civilization is sending you to collect rare and powerful Cores in unexplored areas far from home. You brave the loneliest parts of space until you encounter the prize you’ve been sent for, but you’re not alone. Another pilot has arrived, but isn’t willing to leave empty handed either.
Defeat your opponent using Equipment cards to outfit your mech with the perfect weapons and armor, or Strike your opponent directly. Collect Cores during play to enhance certain equipment types. Use your pilot and mech together with each of their unique abilities to gain the upper hand and destroy your opponent. It’s you or them in this strategic battle of wits, and today is your day!

Players choose from 1 of 6 pilots, and 1 of 6 mechs. Each one has its own unique strategic ability, and they can all be used in any combination. Pilots have awesome abilities that you can use by spending Charge.
Mechs give you Charge by playing a certain way, allowing you more actions on your turn, and more strategic options.
Equipment cards are the main cards you play during a game. Each card can be played two different ways. You can play them vertically as a Strike. Strikes deal instant damage, possibly trigger an effect, and then get discarded. Or you can play them horizontally and equip them to your mech as a weapon or an armor so they can be reused each turn until they're destroyed.
Cores can be purchased with Charge to give passive benefits and make certain Equipment cards stronger. There are 10 Cores in a box set, and each game is played with a randomized group of 5. This makes every game unique, and players have to adapt their strategies depending on what is available for the taking.
During a turn you may play one card and attack with one of your weapon slots. If you decide to skip one of those actions, at the end of your turn you receive up to 1 Charge card. Charge can be used to play more cards on your turn, use your pilot's special ability, attack with a different weapon, or buy Cores. Mechs will give you Charge for playing a specific way so that you don't always have to skip actions.
NOTE: Final sweatshirt designs may vary slightly. Sizes will be collected via survey after the Kickstarter is complete (sizing charts will be provided). The Art Print is still getting final touches added, so it'll be even crisper upon delivery.
Review and gameplay video by UndeadViking -
"This game is super slick, it's super easy to teach, but it has all that depth, that replayability that I look for in a game like this." - UndeadViking
"A genuinely fun fighting game, with some good eye-candy art. A solid choice for two people who need to kill 30 minutes." - Will Raiman, Board Game Authority
"After playing the game twice... I knew they had something fast, unique, and fun."
8.5/10 - Taco's Take - So1ks Gaming
What the press is saying -
"What really captivated me, however, aside from the chance to pilot my own space-exploring mech (yes, please!) was the passion from the project’s creator and the beautiful artwork that’s on display." - Dave Trumbore, Nerdist
What card game players are saying -
"Most card games get stale & repetitive over time. However Outchasers is refreshingly unique in that it's high replayability leaves you never playing the same way twice!" - Luke Mattingly - Hearthstone Rank Legend
"Outchasers has a simple set of rules which makes it really easy to pick up and play with friends without losing the more strategic, in-depth play that I expect from a card game!" - Brad Smith - Hearthstone Rank Legend
"What makes Outchasers great is that it doesn't need to use overly complicated mechanics to create the type of variance that dictates good gameplay. Anyone can sit down, learn the game in 10 minutes, and be able to enjoy highly varied games while figuring out the subtle intricacies and synergies of different Mech/Pilot combinations" - Aaron Mindt - Magic: The Gathering Star City Games Season One Regionals Top 16 2016

Risks and challenges
Because the product is completely designed, the biggest potential for delays with Outchasers comes from manufacturing overseas and shipping the copies of the game to the States. That said, we're working with Admagic to print and manufacture Outchasers, which is a highly reputable American company that contracts and facilitates the manufacturing in China. They have a great track record of on-time delivery, so we predict minimal manufacturing delays but to be conservative we have extended the product delivery timeline accordingly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
