Andronia is a new Campaign World designed by Hydra Games. It is a world of high fantasy Magic mixed with technology called Tek. Using the pathfinder rules as its base this new world will be an intriguing place to set your new campaign. With novels and adventure modules planned and other campaign guides devoted to each region of the world you will have a vibrant and massive world at your finger tips.
The Region of Turmoil is a diverse area of Andronia that includes many cities, towns, and locations. The following is a description from the guidebook about one of the areas in the region.
The Draekyn Peaks are a treacherous mountain range that span along the southeastern coast of Eldaryn. Positioned north of Ishmarn and south of the Rubrein Mountains, the jagged peaks of the Draekyn Spears rise above the vast Haylwinn Sea to the east and The Follands to the west.
Buffeted by storms that tear in from the Haylwinn and the naturally chaotic weather of the mountains, the Draekyn Spears are particularly dangerous to travel.
Within the guide is a number of new creatures, prestige classes, and races, along with detailed information about the locations in the Region of Turmoil. There is detailed information on deities for the setting and most importantly rules on Magic and Tek.
Here is a little sample from the guide on the three powers:
Utilizing the planet's naturally occurring energy fields, known as The Gaze, the caster forms the energy to their will and then releases it in the form of a spell. During the process, the energy is neither created nor destroyed, it is simply utilized. Once expended, the energy returns to dynamic fields of The Gaze.
Tek forces the versatile fields of The Gaze into unnaturally powerful and concentrated forms. Although it is magic and for the most part behaves as magic, its delivery and utilization are quite different than conventional means. The tekonists manipulate and quantify magical potential into 'charges'. These charges are then used to power various weapons from laser-like guns, cannons, and tools to machines and even armor. Because of the high level of concentration and the fusion required to ignite it, the energy is dispersed upon discharge and does not return to The Gaze as most conventional magic does. Like alchemists, who use ordinary materials to create magnificent and magical compounds, tekonists use materials and formulas to create extraordinary devices with ordinary forces. However, the fields of The Gaze were not intended to be quantified, and once unraveled, like that of alchemicals, the energy is corrupted by the artificial chaos and disperses into various forms that fade into the natural world, as well as phase space.
Divine magic is used by priests or holy warriors. Unlike arcane magic, it is generated by the power of the gods and is not related to the energy of the planet. However, it still must pass through The Gaze. Without The Gaze, divine assistance to mortals becomes limited - functioning at 50% normal potency. In some way, the spell's effectiveness is halved, whether it be healing, damage or duration, whatever is the most critical function of the spell.
The reason for this Kickstarter is to pay off the cover art and prepare the book for release. The content is done along with all the interior art. This is also our first release for Hydra Games. We have been releasing novels for two years but have recently started branching into the game side.
We have a number of projects in the works and several are included as stretch goals of this project. We also have a number of other guidebooks being designed for the Andronia Campaign world. We want to start off right with the gaming community and develop a nice campaign world their characters can live and play in.

Risks and challenges
It is true that Hydra Games is just getting started but Hydra Publications, the main company, has been around since 2011 producing novels of various genres. The risks involved right now are minimal for this product since the contents it self is done and just waiting for formatting. The worst possible scenario is that it will be delayed by a month or maybe two due to the zombie apocalypse which is forthcoming.
