Any update on the kits and if they were shipped Ella?
And still waiting.......
Still waiting on my shipment. I am in the UAE so not sure when mine is being shipped?
I'm still waiting for my kit, despite the mails sent.
Let me know if I can expect a delivery soon.
I received half my kits about two weeks ago. Just wondering when the other two might ship?
Hi @Jason @ Lionel your kits have been reshipped. We are sorry for the delay. For anyone still waiting please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more immediate response. Thanks
Still waiting here as well, and I sent out an email a few weeks ago with no response.
Good morning Ella,
Can you provide an update for anyone else? Thanks.
I saw your shipment was sent out however I see that you have never received it. I will send another one right away. Very sorry for the delay!
Please let us know when we can expect shipments...this is getting a little ridiculous! Haven't received a response from the "contact me" section, so I am posting here. Please update your buyers.
Still waiting on one of mine here.
I've also tried the contact me option through kickstarter, but I haven't received a response or kit. If the packages were caught up in the mail, should we be concerned about an expiration date?
I used the contact me option through kickstarter, its just to the right, and always received a response.
Sent a few emails, but never heard back. Any idea when my kits should arrive in Taiwan?
Thanks Bradley for letting us know!
I recieved my non dairy cheese kit two days ago in Washington.
Got my vegan kit in California a couple days ago, can't wait to make some.
Yay!!!! My non-dairy and mozz combo arrived today!!! The box took quite a beating, but things seem to have arrived intact.
My patience has been rewarded!
I don't want to speak for Ella, but given the floods last week in Calgary, it might be a bit... From what the news is saying, the city is pretty FUBAR'd right now... Hope everything is okay, Ella!
Any ETA on the Non-Dairy Kit?
Any updates on packages being sent to Columbus, OH? Thanks.
I received my multiple kits, thanks very much!
My cheese kit came in today! Thanks so much. Looking forward to making some cheese this weekend.
Just checking in...Still haven't heard from you... was hoping to get the cheese kits in time for my birthday, but it didn't happen :(
Alas... still waiting for mozzarella and vegan kits to Massachusetts. Any clue when it might appear on my doorstop? Thanks!
Great, thanks Ella. Looking forward to your e-mail!
All multiple kits were sent out except yours. We needed to grab a couple plastic followers for weighing down the cheese with pressure. They needed to be cut to size.
Will send you tracking tomorrow!
All the best, Ella
Anyone with multiple kits in Toronto receive theirs? I sent an e-mail to Ella last week and haven't heard back. Hate to be out $500 with nothing to show for it :(
Just checking on the vegan kit...will it be shipping soon?
Received my kits last week, these things are phenomenal!!!!
still noting here in Ireland
can you track the postage ?
I received my brie and soft cheese kit today in Vancouver, package post dated 14 May 2013 from Calgary! Yay, can't wait to start making my cheese!
@Frederic is right UP milk is a no no. To start with, as you are practicing go for some homo milk, 3.25%, from a dairy or group of dairies nearby, and the freshest you can find.
So my first try at making Mozzarella was unsuccessful. It was working until I cut it and put it back on the heat (it had started to take by then). The curds just fell apart at that point. This was with organic unhomogenized milk from a local creamery (Limestone Organic Creamery). I suspect the problem is that the milk is ultra-pasteurized. I know organic milk is often ultra-pasteurized, but I was hoping that buying it local directly from the creamery would be different. I guess not. Anyone been successful in Ontario can recommend a brand of store bought milk that works and that is not ultra-pasteurized?
I'm so sorry communications have recently been ignored. I have been all action tracking and packing shipping and have indeed been communicating slowly. At this time every outstanding kit needs a regimen of individual time and attention. We never expected almost 10% of kits not to get to their pledger; now it's of the upmost importance for us to get each outstanding kit to it's destination. You will each be getting our focus, but as we follow through with each pledge time ticks away for the next in line. This is no fault of yours, and we hope you will forgive us. I'm a transparent person normally but this project has "kick started" exceptional times.
One request that would really streamline things is if you do not put your query in a comment thread. You are more than welcome to leave feedback anywhere of course, but it would help if requests were easier to track and coming directly in to my inbox at email@example.com or via a backer direct message.
Rest assured I know you are there, I have a list of names and kits, and I will not rest until you have your reward.
Still waiting for the Brie and soft cheese combination kit in Vancouver Canada, and still waiting for a response to my email query nearly two weeks ago. With all due respect for the difficulties of the robbery, building a small business, the frustrations of the postal service, etc, I think a response to emails is not too much to ask in return for the trust and financial support we contributed to the project. It's just good business and good manners. I don't mind waiting for the kits for months if more time is required for them to be prepared and shipped, but I do mind being ignored after being told we should expect our shipments over a month ago. There's two key ingredients to an awesome business: a great product and great customer service. You can build trust through proactive and transparent communication.
Nope. Feta and Mozz only.
Did you have a goats milk kit in there, Andrew? She did say that those were delayed..
Still waiting for my kits in MA, or any word on there whereabouts.. :(
Update from my post 4 days ago... my 2 kits arrived here (Louisville, KY). They look to be in good shape. My concern about the contents spoiling was unfounded because, much to my surprise, they did not ship (according to the shipping label) until the 8th of this month (a week ago). Maybe I misunderstood because I thought even the double-kit rewards had shipped a month ago. Either way, well within the 2-week limit listed on the culture package. The kit looks great, btw. More items included than I was expecting. I hope this really takes off for you!
To others waiting.. it looks like she's still shipping even as late as last week.
Still nothing......Can you track you shipment?
Alas, still waiting on a non-dairy/mozzerella kit. Have you heard anything from your friendly neighborhood Posties?
Still waiting on 2 kits in KY. Not panic'd yet... don't mind waiting. I guess I am just wondering, at what point should I be concerned that it was lost in transit? Or, If you shipped 2-3 weeks ago, and customs is sitting on them, are any of the contents in danger of spoiling in transit?
When you planing to ship Goat Cheese Kit?
Got my kit today in Pennsylvania, Mozzarella, Cream Cheese and Mascarpone Kit. Everything was packaged nicely and nothing spilled. Thanks Ella! I'm excited to get started.
Thanks for the updates. We are so glad. Good luck with your first cheese making.
Got my kit recently. Time to make some cheesy goodness.
I just got my kit here in Ottawa. Very excited to be making cheese this weekend. I will definitely be checking out the videos. Thank you!
@Nani: The feta one popped up a few days ago: http://youtu.be/E6-VTO8Huf4 .
Hi, I have not receive my one feta cheese kit. I am in California. Will you be making a feta video too?
Would it be possible to get a pdf of the correct instructions for the mascarpone kit? I have a sinking feeling that I am about to dump out a gallon of specialty cream and high fat milk because the instructions are very wrong.
Is it 87˙F or C (I think C), it is 2 pinches of rennet in 1/4 cup, or 4 pinches, and finally, is it 1/4 tsp or 1/8 tsp of Calcuim Chloride.
I think like many people here, I am extremely disappointed.
