I was a PhD student at Harvard when I came down with the worst flu of my life. A year later, I was signing a check at a restaurant and found I could not write my own name. Months before my wedding, I became progressively more ill, losing the ability even to sit in a wheelchair. Some doctors insisted my condition was psychosomatic rather than real. This film is my answer to them and my love letter to anyone who has ever suffered from a chronic illness no one could see.
