60 Hours to Go to Hit $60,000. We Can Do It. Together.

Posted by Christopher Boone (Creator)

Okay, it's 60 hours and several minutes, but it doesn't look like that on Kickstarter.

If this is your first Kickstarter campaign, you may think reaching $60,000 in the next 60 hours is impossible.

Believe me. It's not.

I have seen this happen before. Not once. Not twice. It has happened many times on Kickstarter.

But it only happens when all of the backers convince their friends to join them and pledge.

If every one of our 447 backers found one friend to pledge $41 today, we would reach our goal.

Yesterday, Martha Conway (my cousin!) found 5 friends to join our campaign during Refer A Friend Day, and brought in a whopping $604 (!!!) in new pledges.

But Martha can't do it alone. Ella and I can't do it alone. We all have to do it together.

We have to email our friends, post on Facebook, tweet at our followers, text our BFFs. Use this short link: http://kck.st/1aidgq3

We also need to tweet at celebrities and organizations focused on #girls, #math, #STEM, and #bullying, like @girlscouts, @BTWFoundation (Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation), Mayim Bialik (@missmayim) from Big Bang Theory and Blossom (who has a Ph.D. in neuroscience), Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) and Upworthy (@upworthy).

If you have been waiting to ask your friends, now is the time. Because we don't have much more time.

You will be surprised how many of your friends will join you if you ask. We've been surprised, too.

447 times.

Thanks for making CENTS.
