Bia is the first multi-sport watch you'll love! Slim lightweight design. No-wait GPS. Plus a must-have safety alert for solo workouts.
IF YOU "LIKE" US YOU NEED TO "BACK" US TOO!
BACKING US IS THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE BIA GETS MADE.
We need to hit our funding goal by July 13th. If we are even $1 short, you won't be billed for your pledge, but we also won't get any funding. This means we will not be able to get Bia to market. Ever. Plus, as a backer, you can be first to get Bia on your wrist! See backer rewards here =>

THE END OF "SHRINK IT AND PINK IT"
Yes it is smaller... and it does come in pink. But true athletic beauty is about so much more than looks. We built pretty packaging around robust multisport functionality and ANT+ connectivity, and then we made it so smart it's simple.
***NO OTHER GPS SPORTS WATCH CAN DO THIS:***
- Safety alert for peace of mind on solo workouts
- Quick-connect GPS; no more time wasted "finding satellites"
- Data to your online training log; no more time wasted "sync'ing"
- iPod-like ease of use; just one button and a touchscreen
- Water resistance to 100M; full GPS tracking when you swim
And don't forget full triathlon race mode and unlimited Galloway-style walk-run intervals. Plus with Bia, you become part of a community just as amazing as you, both at the starting line and online through www.bia-sport.com.
Bia is the sports training watch the "big boys" won't make. It's built for the 99% of us who love to sweat, but don't have time for technology that gets in the way of our workout.
DAMN IT FEELS GOOD
This picture says it all.
The Bia sports watch is as light as it is small. With an infinitely adjustable neoprene band, it won't pinch, bind, or slip. The Bia GPS Go Stick is smaller than an old-school pack of gum so it won't weigh you down like an iPhone strapped to your arm!
The display on the screen can be flipped so you can wear Bia on either wrist.
It's the first GPS training watch to function, feel, and look as good as you do.
GETTING IT ON YOUR WRIST
Our team brings experience from Apple, Nike, Jawbone, and Zoot. We have decades of experience building water and shock resistant products, working with GPS, and creating fabulous online experiences.
Bia is also part of a startup accelerator program run by a world-renowned supply chain and manufacturing company. A trusted industry heavyweight has our back.
The product is working in the lab. Mechanicals, board layout, and battery testing are all done. We are ready to build 30 units for hard core field testing. We'll refine the software that makes it work, and then gear up for manufacturing.
WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU
We have a big audacious funding goal to hit, so in addition to your pledge, we need your help spreading the word.
- Talk it up with your training group or at the gym
- Share on Facebook -- http://kck.st/GetBia
- Tweet us up -- http://kck.st/GetBia
- Repin from our Pinterest board
- Blog all about it; everything you need is here
Imagine showing up at a start line and seeing Bia watches on dozens - maybe hundreds - of wrists one day, knowing that you were part of making that happen!

OH, AND ABOUT THE NAME BIA...
Bia is the greek goddess of force and power; she is also Nike's younger sister. #justsayin'
Yes. The GPS Go Stick has a built in GSM connection. We are working with a provider who aggregates GSM service from local carriers across the globe. This means those features will work in different countries and it means that if you travel to or race in a different country, those features will still work without your doing a thing.
Are there extra charges for the special "connected" features like safety alerts and race day tracking?
There will be a small fee for real time race day tracking. Probably around $5 per race and will offer discounted bundles for a multi-race season. Sending safety alert information to your loved ones will be free. There will be an annual subscription to forward it to emergency services. Price on this has not been determined. We do not expect extra charges for any other connected services. However if for some reason this changes, all Kickstarter backers will be grandfathered in for free. We love that you are here with us first.
Bia is a two piece device. The Bia sports watch will work by itself as a standard heart-rate monitor sports watch. But if you want to know the speed/pace and distance for your workouts or use any of the connected functionality, you need to use the watch in conjunction with the Bia GPS Go Stick. They talk to each other. The GPS Go Stick is the brains and the sports watch is the display.
Watches shouldn't need to be plugged in or recharged. So we made the Bia sports watch with a standard coin cell battery. It should last about 18 months like any other sports watch. When the battery gets low you just replace it. The Bia GPS Go Stick has a rechargeable battery. You'll get about 17 hours of workout time between charges. It comes with a USB charger. As long as you remember to plug it in once a week, you are all set even for the longest workouts or races.
Data from your Bia automatically goes into your Bia training log and we email you a standard GPX or TCX file that can be uploaded into any online training program, including Training Peaks, Garmin Connect, MapMyFitness, DailyMile, RunKeeper, Strava etc. We will also do direct integrations with as many of those training logs as possible so your workout data "just shows up there" as if you sync'ed the watch manually with their site. Our Kickstarter backers will have strong input into the order we integrate, but we expect to have 2-4 direct integrations done by Day 1.
Bia is enabled with ANT+ which is how most cadence and power meters communicate data. This means the hardware is able to support this integration at any time. However, we currently don't have plans to certify Bia with any cadence or power meters for Day 1. It's something we want to add in the future though. When we do add it, it will be a free software upgrade - super simple.
Yes. Bia works for right-wrist-watch-wearers (say that 10 times fast). There is a setting on the watch for "left wrist or right wrist". If you wear it on your right wrist the information on the screen gets flipped. So you can wear it on your right wrist but still have the ergonomic curve flows with your wrist, have the display is on the side closer to your hand, and have the button is on the inside -- exactly the same way it works if you wear it on the left wrist.
The only difference for right-wrist wearers is that the watch angles towards your wrist bone instead of around it. We don't expect any problems - it's really the slim lightweight design and infinitely adjustable strap that keep it from rubbing against your wrist bone. But it does feel better for most people if you wear it above your wrist bone instead of down low.
You'll be able to pre-order your Bia closer to our ship date and be eligible for a special "early bird" discount off of our retail price.
