About this project
Now that you've seen my process, read a little about me and Necessary Notes!
Hey Kickstarter, my name is Britney Case and I am a fashion marketing and management student in my last semester of college and THIS is my project.
Like many of you creators, innovators, and artists out there I’ve found that inspiration comes from almost anywhere.
I get ideas right before I go to bed at night, when I’m at school, and multiple times throughout the day; but typically my day is so hectic that I wouldn’t take the time to find a piece of paper and a pencil and write these ideas down…I would promise myself that I would just remember. So, at the end of my day, when I tried to remember all of the things that inspired me, the great ideas I had, or even something someone said that may have sparked my imagination…it was gone, impossible to remember everything that had gone on throughout the day or that tiny thing that sparked my imagination.
So, I started carrying a notebook, and after that first one was filled…I got another…. and soon one, turned into 2, and two into 20. Before long I had notebook upon notebook of inspiration to draw ideas from, to inspire projects and to boost imagination. It was amazing to be able to look back at the things that had inspired me and see where those initial inspirational thoughts had landed me and what they had turned into.
So, you may be asking yourself….where did the idea for hand painted notebooks come from and why did I decide to do this project? I wanted to bring my inspiration to you, to bring my inspiration to life in paint and inspire someone else to paint, write, draw, doodle, and take notes. Inspiration is not just for one person. Inspiration should be interpreted, reinterpreted, and built upon. It shouldn’t sit in a notebook or be left on a shelf, it needs to be shared- and this is my inspiration outlet: Necessary Notes.
Ya, it’s lined paper, but whoever said it’s not okay to break the rules just a little and cross those lines? Use your notebook to sketch, doodle, write a story, or take notes in a business meeting to impress your boss. Whatever it may be, remember that inspiration can come from anywhere. Write it down, make a note, and make it a necessity.
Necessary Notes. For wherever, whenever inspiration finds you.
