Thanks a TON for all the amazing support so far in under a week!  A handful of people have told me I asked for too much and am an unknown...and while I won't argue with that I appreciate the trust you've all placed on me to deliver a book that makes me proud to make it and will hopefully be worth the wait for you all.

As a little bonus, here is a iphone pic of a 8 x 10 monster image.  I hope you enjoy.  I'm loving drawing and designing these.

Without further ado, the Were-Rooster.

Well, darn...I'm going to have to increase my pledge now so that I can get a drawing..=]. I'm looking forward to the finished product and think that your costs are crazy good.

Rhonda, thanks so much for the kind words. I am glad people are liking the what they see. :)

I'm surprised anyone would call you an unknown or imply you're asking for too much! As someone who's worked as a freelancer for pretty much every major comic publisher in the last 15 years, I think that having a half dozen+ books out already hardly makes you a newbie. And as a novice self publisher, I know that printing costs are huge and your goal is reasonable. I'm happy to help, however modestly. Best of luck!

Thanks! I'm glad I let my friends talk me in to doing this. Or perhaps more adequately put, they helped push me over the doubts.
