Ben, I backed your project because it sounds so fantabulous! I'm a music teacher and composer myself, so this really resonated with me. You can see my "kids" at http://www.parkslopemusiclessons.com/video and if you need any music for your film, well that would be fun too. You can hear/see clips of my film music at http://filmmusicnyc.com/video/

      Cheers
      Andrew

This is a fantastic project! I was a student in the NYC Public School system many moons ago. Growing up in the projects with 4 siblings my parents could not afford to give me music lessons, but our kind church pianist gave me free lessons and me practice Czerny on her Steinway. I just loved those 88 keys. Got into LaGuardia High School and then studied under Russian virtuoso classical and jazz pianist Benny Aronov at the old Manhattan School of Music. Eventually moved on to law, but I still love those 88 keys. We need to keep music education alive in our public school system and support projects that help inner-city kids master music and an instrument!
