THE MONSTER BRIDE a brand new British musical comedy based on the book "Never the Bride" by Paul Magrs. Be part of it's journey to the professional stage...

We have been developing THE MONSTER BRIDE now for nearly 2 years and in that time we have worked our British and Maltese butts off! Getting a new musical on stage is - as we have already learned - a long and arduous process and THE MONSTER BRIDE is very much a labour of love.

Here is a clip of one demos: I am in Whitby!

THE MONSTER BRIDE is based on the brilliantly imaginative book "Never the Bride" by Paul Magrs and is the story of Brenda - The Monster's Bride - seeking a quiet life in Whitby, North Yorkshire where she runs a B & B. The musical is a fragrant blend of copious pots of tea, wild Bingo games, fish 'n' chips, Christmas and devil worship.

It has been an exciting process but the excitement is just beginning...

Having now done two readings of the script including one this January at the prestigious Sheffield Crucible Theatre, we are now ready to show what we have done to INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS! (Cue thunder) in the form of an ACT 1 staged reading with songs. So that they can fall in love with the show and get it on the (West End or Broadway, we don't mind! ) stage.

Here is another clip: Nobody's Perfect

This workshop will help us move a giant step closer to a full-scale production by attracting a producer or theatre. Your donation is vital to help us do it right...

Where your money goes:

  • Hiring and compensating actors suitable for the roles.
  • A rehearsal room for a focused, creative and fun environment.
  • A studio theatre for the workshop performance to show potential producers that we mean business.

Risks and challenges

The greatest risk with The Monster Bride is raising the rest of the funding BUT we have already booked the performance venue so the workshop will take place no matter what. Even if it means running a cake sale every week until August!
