The small village of Forven, sitting on the coast of the North East of Scotland, is surrounded by vast swatches of lonely desolate countryside. A place where strange beasts can hide and mysterious dark forces can entrench themselves into the land and the lives of the people that live on it. Taylor Kite is a folk musician that while struggling for inspiration, happens upon the village by chance and decides to stay for a few days in the hope that the landscape may prove a fruitful ground for ideas. He gets to know some of the locals, particularly the family that run the inn, the owner Barbabas and his step-daughter Catherine and son, Simon. From them he hears the local legends of the Old Sly Dog of the links, Cu Carach, a ruthless protector of the local land that merely tolerates intruding humans. He hears rumors of the existence of an unusual number of White Deer in the area. Later Catherine takes Taylor out to see the area’s most impressive feature, the ancient Standing Stones. An eerie place filled with the uneasy air of ground that was never meant to be trod upon. All of this leads to Taylor unwittingly getting involved in a mystery that ties into the Standing Stone, the local legends and family history. A mystery that could have dangerous consequences for him and even for the very existence of Forven Village itself.

Under Belly is a new Canadian comic book & graphic novel publishing company, dedicated to bringing you the freshest and most innovative comics from around the world.
Originally the brain child of Adam Jack & Kyle Joseph McEwan to promote and distribute their own work, Under Belly is now pushing forward with producing and publishing some of world's newest up and coming creator owned/independent comics.
We follow a "Kickstarter first" method of publishing, so we will often have more than one project running on Kickstarter at a time. A challenge for us will be managing multiple campaigns at once. But delivering books to our backers will never be a problem. We have different creative teams assigned to each book to make sure they get finished in a timely fashion.
Our biggest challenge will be trying to go above and beyond our goal. $1,500 is the absolute bare minimum we can do this for. Ideally we would like to raise closer to $3,000 - $5,000 in order to put out higher quality booksLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
