About this project
...Next Stop, YOUR City
City Light Show™ is an inclusive, participatory multimedia signature event. Using a corridor of downtown buildings as a canvas, City Light Show is a light and music sensory extravaganza. CLSATL will serve as the platform and anchor event for ELEVATE, Atlanta's annual public art festival in downtown Atlanta.
Here's the schedule: (all performances start 30 minutes after civil twilight) Thursday, Oct. 16 - 1 Hour / Friday, Oct. 17 - 1 Hour / Saturday, Oct 18 - 2 Hours
City Light Show™ will draw national media coverage and social media buzz, it will be an event to remember and look forward to for years to come. City Light Show™ drives global interest in the event, the participants and the city. A great part of the appeal of CLSATL is the fact it's been paid for by you! Honestly, we looked for corporate sponsors-and worked hard at finding them. The truth is, if you're not an established brand, nobody's taking chances on an idea, no matter how good it might be. Cue SXSW and Lady Gaga and Doritos.
The exclusive CLS lighting design is driven by the pulse of music and projected on multiple buildings to create a shock and awesome experience of sound and light. The audience can enjoy the show LIVE in the “Immersive Experience Area” through the corridor of buildings and can experience the music live via the free web application for mobile devices and all web browsers. Connect and create your own viewing and listening experience!
• A Global First
The building illuminations feature a highly choreographed symphony of deeply colored washes, sweeping light rays, layered effects of patterns and searchlights. Think about the most intense lighting show you've ever seen and imagine it on this grand scale. If you're familiar with the iTunes audio visualizer, this will be the world's biggest. Watch the video teaser (below and on the CLSATL.COM website) to get an idea of the power intrinsic to the event.
City Light Show™ is built to spark the imagination, to inspire, to create lasting impressions.
Listen to the music that drives City Light Show™ on any web-enabled device using the City Light Show App™. The mobile application works on all mobile devices and desktop computers.

Risks and challenges
I have met with city officials in the Atlanta Mayor's Office, non-governmental organizations (Midtown Alliance, Central Atlanta Progress, Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau) and a host of Atlanta's key influencers. The way is paved for full civic support and promotion of City Light Show.
This event is the ultimate in high tech meets high art. Show control is completely wireless, show feeds for video distribution are wireless. We will establish a robust high-bandwidth WiFi network for streaming audio to attendees and to our near field listening areas located at each of the 19 lighting pods and the main stage.
All vendors who are contributors have been vetted over a twenty plus year period. A detailed timeline coupled with illustrations will ensure the production schedule is on time.
The only thing we can't control is the weather. The show will work in the rain, all elements are either rainproof or covered and protected.
