A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
About this project
Introducing a User-Friendly Minimalist Wallet!
Keeping true to our brand, we designed this User-Friendly Minimalist Wallet to keep your cards organized and easy to access, while still having a minimal design that makes it comfortable in any pocket and the look of luxriours leather wallet.
Kickstarter Add-On Specials
These Kickstarter Add-On Specials are exclusive deals on the Modern Day Briefcase and the Breton Weekender that you will not be able to get at any other time!
We use the highest quality material that can be found to make our products so they are durable and beautiful. We source our vegetable tanned leather from La Bretagna, one of the oldest and best tanneries in Italy. This leather is rich and durable, and will gain character with each additional use.
DesignWe aspire to make well designed products that are useful, durable, and provide simple solutions to everyday life. In designing this wallet, we wanted a minimal wallet that simplified the process of extracting cards from that wallet. It took nineteen iterations to find this simple design made from a single piece of leather. By using a single piece of leather, we were able to avoid using straps or mechanical pieces to easily extract the cards making a truly minimal wallet that will last for years.
This is our third Kickstarter. We have used our manufacturers, leather suppliers, and shipping partners to help us manufacturer both of our Kickstarter. We trust them and we learned how to work with them to achieve the best results. Below, please review our Production Schedule.
We have already completed and successfully fulfilled the Modern Day Briefcase and we are currently manufacturing our 2nd Kickstarter for the Breton Weekender.
International Shipping: Import Duty and Taxes
We can collect import duty and taxes for certain countries. We will collect these additional fees in Backerkit after the campaign closes. We are able to collect import duty and taxes for all member countries of the E.U., UK, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. Import Duties and Taxes will not be charged on the Convenient Minimalist Wallet by Austraila, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Singapore. Unfortunately, we are unable to collect import duty and taxes form any other country.
Here is a handy tool that can assist you in calculating duties. Remember to convert the US dollars to your local currency:
I am a recovering attorney who has worked for enough people to last a lifetime. After realizing how much I disliked attorney life, I worked for a startup as the director of operations for awhile, before I decided to risk it all, and become an entrepreneur full-time.
This company was jump-started by Mark Cuban. Really, no joke! When I was considering whether or not to start working on this bag, I came across the following quote by Mark Cuban:
"[E]very entrepreneur's job is to invent the future. I also call it ‘kicking your own [butt].” Someone is out there who thinks they have a better idea than you have. A better solution than you have. A better or more efficient product than you have...it's part of your job as the owner of the company to stay ahead of them."
After reading this quote, I decided I was not going to be the guy who stood on the sidelines saying, “I came up with that idea first, but I was too busy.” From that day on, I started waking up at 4 am, so that I could work on the project for three hours before I went to work. Now two years later, after funding our first project, we are launching our second bag on Kickstarter.
I have a bunch of kids (4) and a beautiful wife who keeps me on my toes. If I'm not in the office, I'm probably road biking.
Thank you to all of my friends, family, and backers who have supported and encouraged me throughout this whole process. I could not have done this without you! I would especially like to thank my wife who has supported and encouraged me along the way. Also, I would like to thank the following people who have helped me throughout my campaign:

Risks and challenges
I have firsthand, professional experience with product development and manufacturing. In preparation for this campaign, I have already setup partnerships with skilled tradesmen for materials and manufacturing. I want to make sure I avoid any potential risks and delays in delivering the Convenient Minimalist Wallet.
With that said, there are inherent risks of delay during the production process that may be beyond my control. In any case, I will keep backers updated throughout the campaign and manufacturing phase to ensure that I stay as true as possible to the proposed delivery schedule.
Thank you for joining my story and helping make the Convenient Minimalist Wallet a reality!
