Progress update #2 - PCBs are arrived.

Posted by Rost (Creator)

Hello Backers! Today I've received and tested first 200 pcs of PCBs. This is a test quantity.

What's next?

Till the end of next week I'll assemble first 50 pcs and will draw case for electronics. After I'll do this I'll mill aluminium cases.

All electronic components (tegs, supercaps, leds, tritium etc) are bought and waiting for assembling.

Why delays?

Frankly speaking, I wasn't ready for such success and to produce really good product I need to use other methods instead of what I've planned. That leads to numerous internal changes. Appearance and functionality of Lumen will stay the same as were shown in video.

p.s. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the update Rost, good luck working on it. You have some pictures of the parts? Tritium and all other things you already have in stock?

Thanks for the update :-) Delays are to be expected with such success and innovative product!

For that type of quality and innovative product, delays should be expected and are part of the process. Be proud of your success and thanks for keeping us updated.

      Keep it up!
Ted you said it, for the people disappointed for the delays, they should have ordered through Amaz0n or somewhere. People this is crowdfunding, not Next Day Deliver Shop.
Rost is trying, let's give him a fair chance!!

Thanks for keeping us updated. Keeping your backers updated is as important as manufacturing the itme itself; as long as we know the progress and not kept in the dark then to me that's OK. I also appreciate that I'm now going to receive a "production" quality item rather than an advanced prototype. This potentially means the flashlight will last a lot longer.

Awesome to see you keeping us updated with the progress! Keep us posted and just ignore the 'It takes too long! Disappointing! I want my money back!' crowd, they clearly do not understand what crowdfunding means.
