What is ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DIMENSION?
ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DIMENSION is a short, live-action film that will be created in 2014 by a passionate, collaborative team; Gloomy Sheep Productions in association with CPS Films. The cast and crew is made up of students studying at Coryton Primary School and the University of South Wales, both of which are based around the vicinity of Cardiff, Wales.
THE STORY IS BASED ON THE AWARD-WINNING SERIES, BBC'S DR WHO...
The film follows the regeneration of FOUR DOCTORS across TWO MINI EPISODES through time and space as they encounter all kinds of out-of-this-world troubles along the way! In an attempt to solve them, they - along with their trusty companions - are ultimately thrown into the Victorian era. The Doctor battles the likes of terrifying coal monsters and vanishing children before venturing on - another day, another dimension!
We aim to make this an industry-standard production with the help of pledges and funding from the likes of yourselves (yes, YOU!)
This is an educational project. The hard work, effort and time being put into the production by all the students involved directly effects their education and grades. For all those involved from USW, this project is a chance to work professionally to create an industry-standard motion picture. For the students of Coryton Primary, this a project is spanning across the entire curriculum. We have no affiliation with the BBC, the official Dr Who brand or any of its imagery. We (the students) are solely responsible for the production, post-production, packaging and screening of the film - all of which means we need your money (please!)
Funding is a vital element of project; it is necessary to find a realistic source of revenue to create a manageable budget that will produce a polished, professional outcome.
Where is all the money going?
LOCATIONS AND PRODUCTION DESIGN: In order to create believable settings for all the different locations with story, we're going to need to film on-location – and even build a few sets from scratch. This all costs money - not just to build settings but also to travel to and from location shoots.
COSTUMES: It's our goal to get every detail exactly right and make sure every piece of attire is true to the time period. That means buying/renting clothing suitable for that era and even making some ourselves.
MARKETING: We want show off our project in a professional way that reflects the time and effort it has taken to produce. The money that you kindly donate will contribute towards the costs of creating and distributing promotional content as well as providing us with our screening space.
When will this film be complete?
We only have a few more weeks of filming left but we still have so much to pay for! We aim to complete filming by mid-March so we can jump straight into post-production, polishing the final cut and getting it ready to premiere at its very own Cineworld Cinema screening in April 2014.

Risks and challenges
A lot goes into putting a film production together. With various different things going on at once, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what challenges lie ahead of us – but let's be honest, some little thing is bound to go wrong someplace in our journey through time and space...
That's just life. Maybe the weather will delay production back a day if we’re scheduled to film outside, or an actor can't make it to shoot. Or perhaps the Tardis will fall into disrepair and the sonic screwdriver has gone missing - the possibilities are endless!
In order to ensure that this doesn't effect the overall outcome of the production, we have planned for such uncertainties and misfortunes with a few extra weeks in March set aside for filming if things get rough.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
