Are you ready for adventure?
Join us as we prepare for another full year of danger, magic, and excitement in the pages of Adventure Quarterly.
Every three months fresh faces and tested professionals ready to give you the stories you want, create Adventure Quarterly. Each issue has a low, middle, and high level offering, complete with maps, statblocks, and art—fully ready for the table.
Mysteries and dungeon crawls, heists and rescues, distant lands and Ruins Perilous; Adventure Quarterly knows what works and knows when to experiment. With the first year complete and in our subscribers' hands, we want to bring another year of new adventures with evocative art, beautiful maps, and exciting encounters. To make that happen we're launching this Kickstarter.
Rite Publishing has completed ten crowd-funded projects, using the crowdfunding model for multiple RPG games-- even before coming to Kickstarter! We regularly work with award-winning artists, cartographers, and designers. We know what it takes to get a solid project to completion and in your hands. Even now, the Adventure Quarterly #5 manuscript is complete and in editing, with the cover image by Dallas Williams and cartography by Tommi Salama already in hand.
We're hoping this campaign will help us fill the next four issues with better art and cartography! In fact, we're staying focused on giving you the best magazine we can-- Adventure Quarterly has averaged 80+ pages of excitement, and every stretch goal we've got is meant to produce a better quality periodical. Each issue will be offered in PDF and full-color Print formats, with separate map bundles with both GM and player maps, giving you the flexibility to game in the manner that best suits your needs from the Pathfinder RPG publisher who understands there's more than one path to adventure.
Don't wait, come grab fifteen of the best adventures you could ask for and help make a great periodical even better
What do we want?
Rite Publishing wants to Kickstart the next 4 issues of Adventure Quarterly issues # 5-8, because we want to step up our game. Our primary goal is to bring all-new, original custom cartography and artwork for the new year, to complement the stellar writing and editing we already have. We will also continue to offer this product as a full-color Print and PDF product.
What is Adventure Quarterly?
Adventure Quarterly is not surprisingly, a quarterly periodical that harkens back to the days of Dungeon Magazine, bringing you three Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventures of Low, Medium, and High levels each and every issue plus two articles on Game Mastery. Previous authors in the series have included such industry talents as Tim Hitchcock, Adam Daigle, Mike Welham, Tim Connors, Bret Boyd, Jonathan McAnulty, Matt Banach, Justin Sluder, T. H. Gulliver, Creighton Broadhurst, Robert N. Emerson, and Steven D. Russell.
ACHIEVED! Initial Goal $3,000.00: Rite Publishing will create 4 new issues of Adventure Quarterly including all new custom cartography by Tommi Salama (we will no longer be using computer programs like Dunjinni or Campaign Cartographer to create our cartography, instead going with a hand-drawn style)
UNLOCKED: 1st Stretch Goal $4,750.00 (+1,750.00): At this level Rite Publishing will be using all new custom interior art in issue #5 (we will no longer be using stock art).
UNLOCKED 2nd Stretch Goal $6,500.00 (+1,750.00): At this level Rite Publishing will be using all new custom interior art in issue #6 (we will no longer be using stock art), also if we hit this goal I will include Coliseum Morpheuon PDF (PFRPG) as a complimentary bonus for all $10.00 or higher backers.
UNLOCKED 3rd Stretch Goal $8,250.00 (+1,750.00): At this level Rite Publishing will be using all new custom interior art in issue #7(we will no longer be using stock art), also if we hit this goal I will include The Gift PDF (PFRPG) as a complimentary bonus for all $10.00 or higher level backers.
4th Stretch Goal $10,000.00 (+1,750.00): At this level Rite Publishing will be using all new custom interior art (we will no longer be using stock art in any issue); aslo if we hit this goal, I will incude 101 Not So Random Encounters Urban PDF (PFRPG) as a complimentary bonus for all $10.00 or higher level backers.

Risks and challenges
Rite Publishing has already shown it can produce 4 issues of this product with high quality writing and editing as well as beautiful cover artwork. Our challenge now is bringing in high quality custom cartography and after a dedicated search we have chosen a talented professional in Tommi Salama.
Our next challenge is to keep him on schedule, however even if Tommi where to become unavailable Rite Publishing has a history of working with talented cartographers just as the Ennie award winning Jonathan Roberts (George R.R. Martin's Lands of Ice and Fire poster maps, and the Fantastic Maps line) and James "Devin Night" Hazelett (Devin Night's Tokens). So even if something were to go wrong we have back up plans.
Rite Publishing has been in business for over 5 years and has two current ongoing kickstarters Kaidan and A Novel Set in Dream. We are on track to fulfill these two projects and we have a long track record of fulfilling our crowdfunding projects.
Heroes of the Jade Oath: Fullfilled
A Witch's Choice: Fullfiled
To Kill or Not to Kill: Fullfiled
Race for the Crystal Fold Fullfiled
Coliseum Morpheuon: Fullfiled
Curse of the Golden Spear Trilogy Fullfiled
The Breaking of Fostor Nagar: Fullfilled
The Demolished Ones : Fullfilled
Lords of Gossamer and Shadow Fullfilled
This works because no one from an ongoing project is working on the same project. For example Kaidan's author Jonathan McAnulty is not writing for Adventure Quarterly, Kaidan has its own cartographer, layout artist, artists, and editor who don't work on Adventure Quarterly. While author Matt Banach is not working on Adventure Quarterly and is only working on his Novel (he has turned over the intitial rough draft.
Rite Publishing believes in weekly updates and transparency. For example:
With Lords of Gossamer & Shadow we released the PDF to customers on time on Sept 30th 2013, and we released the print version to backers on November 7th 2013.
Adventure Quarterly #5 is already written, we already have a cover image, The first adventurres map is completed, and its in editing.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
