Risks and challenges
Verameat Jewelry has staked some investment in this film to pay the crew. Our fundraising goal is $3000 which will go towards gas and on the bare minimum of road expenses. For this fundraising we are only trying to cover the cost of production which will be bare bones. We anticipate post production costing close to $50,000. Any amount we raise over the $3000 here will be put towards those costs:)
We have a script, actors and a film crew, a small tight knit team. We begin shooting in L.A at the beginning of June, travel cross country shooting our scripted scenes while also remaining open to shooting moments and scenes that naturally arise on the trip. Once we're in NYC we will shoot the remaining scenes. We will have a field editor making edits as we go on the trip so that we know what we have and have the opportunity for any re shoots along the way. If the road trip takes longer than expected we are able to reschedule the shoots in NYC. Most of the crew has experience on feature films and those of that do not are treating this as an organic learning experience. We're committed to making something that is authentic and unique.
As soon as the shoots are completed we'll have a rough cut of the film and then we'll begin the process of refining the edit to picture lock. We'll be working with various musicians and bands to create the score of the film and then the film will mix and will be ready for the film festival circuit.
