Open apology to Kevin & crew. I received everything some time ago :)

What is the status of the DVDs to be sent to backers?

    3. Kevin McTurk 2-time creator on

Hi Andreas ! New password link sent to you! Thanks again for your support!

    4. Andreas Persson on

I'm bad at tracking when projects are completed so I only noticed the release in January and the password didn't work and the only way I can view it is to buy it again. I tried to send a message but it's been like three months and I still haven't gotten a response :(

    5. Michael Callmerabbi Sandal on

I was messaged by the director. Seems my stuff was mailed to an old address I'd moved out of. :0/ He is resending everything to my current home, so huzzah and thank you, sir!

    6. Michael Callmerabbi Sandal on

Have people been receiving their physical rewards? I pledged for the Spirit Cabinet collection way back, and I see it's available for sale on the website. Plus, the last update said they'd be shipping from October to December, but I still don't have it. What gives?

    7. Ingo Günther on

Erm nevermind, I was at the wrong end of the messages.

    8. Ingo Günther on

      @Kevin McTurk
There is a problem with the download link you send, Vimeo says that there is no video anymore or has never been.

    9. Victor Allen

Mike Bunch echoes my thoughts below: "It seems that you and the the film are well traveled yet those of us that paid money to back the film still have nothing to show for it... I do not wish to begrudge your accolades and success by any means, but there are a lot of us who backed to help with the project and it would be nice to receive what we sponsored."

I actually came back to this campaign thinking that I had missed the download link, only to see that there isn't one. I'm quite disappointed.

    10. Kaare Andrews on

Hi Kevin, I know you are in the middle of your festival run-- but any idea of when you've scheduled your kickstarter release? Spring 2016 maybe? Looking forward to seeing the final product!

    11. Kate Frost on

Congrats on the nomination! When will we be getting our DVD's please?

    12. Mike Bunch

Congratulations on the latest nomination and upcoming festivals.

With that said, when will we be getting our rewards? It seems that you and the the film are well traveled yet those of us that paid money to back the film still have nothing to show for it. The original delivery date was May 2014. Maybe my math is off, but I am pretty sure that we have passed and actually lapped that date by just a little bit.

I do not wish to begrudge your accolades and success by any means, but there are a lot of us who backed to help with the project and it would be nice to receive what we sponsored.

    13. Christopher Newell

Congratulations on landing the Grand Jury prize for animated short at the Seattle International Film Festival!

So, what's the latest word? It seems the film has been around the world, but as a backer, I still haven't had the opportunity to see it.

    15. Rebecca Kimbrell Bogorad on

I've been dying to show this to my daughter. Could you give us an update on the DVDs?

      Chris Calvert on

Congratulations, Kevin, on your Rondo Hatton award. I really look forward to seeing the film. I'm hoping the Blu-Rays are almost ready to ship out. Can we get some kind of update on that?

    17. Cindy Okumoto on

So looking forward to seeing the final film! Best of luck at all the festivals!

    18. Kevin McTurk 2-time creator on

Yes! All of the T-shirt designs will be available on website in the next few months, following the Kickstarter shipping! Thanks again for your patience and support!

    19. Drew Campbell on

Any chance that the curse inscription shirt will be available to buy on the spirit cabinet website? I picked the spirit cabinet logo shirt for my reward, but I would love that one too.

    20. Bryan Kennedy on

Last update was October. Glad to see the Premier went well. Can we download?

    21. Ingo Günther on

      And I forget a s on Calders.

    22. Ingo Günther on

Information are available on the Facebook page of The Spirit Cabinet.

      In short:
The Mill at Calder End is complete, it already had it's premiere on 28th and 29th January at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Kickstarter release date will be announced very shortly.

    23. Michael Callmerabbi Sandal on

Just wondering how close the film is to completion... Been waiting real patiently for my Spirit Cabinet! Anything you can tell us about your progress?

    24. Missing avatar

      Chris Calvert on

So, here we are, about half a year past the estimated delivery date. I would really like to have some idea how things are proceeding. Is the film complete? Has production for the discs begun?

    25. Ingo Günther on

May is almost over, what's up in the Spirit Cabinet? How did the festival go for you, for when can we expect our rewards?

    26. Missing avatar

      Chris Calvert on

Kevin: No doubt you are busy, and I hope production is proceeding apace. Think we could get some kind of an update? Curious to see how additional shoots went.

    27. Kate Frost on

When will the DVD's of The Narrative of Victor Karloch be sent out? Or will those be shipped with The Mill at Calder's End?

    28. Leslie Jordan

The download was awesome. I wanted to see more. I am looking forward to receiving the DVDs.
I have a question. I forgotten to add the "The Mill at Calder's End" by artist David Petersen will be printed on 11"X17" archival paper onto my reward. Is it to late, or can it still be added? Thank you.

Dennis: Thanks, VLC did the trick plays fine.
Kevin: Thanks! This is really amazing work. Very excited to hear more about Calder's End and maybe get a peek into the making of what looks to be a truly remarkable project.

    30. Kevin McTurk 2-time creator on

Thank You Dennis! I did not have any issues playing the 9GB version on my computer using Quicktime 10.0, but happy to hear VLC Player works for the film! Best, Kevin

    31. Dennis Sorensen on

@Chris, not sure what codec is needed, but I had the same problems on those players. VLC Player plays the file just fine, though.

      Chris Calvert on

I don't seem to be able to play the download of 'Narrative'. I've got the full 9GB MOV file but Windows Media Player, MPC, and Quicktime all just play audio, no video. What codec do I need for this?

    33. Kevin McTurk 2-time creator on

The DOWNLOAD for THE NARRATIVE OF VICTOR KARLOCH has now been mailed to all of the contributors that ordered it! Please check you mail for Kickstarter messages and hope you enjoy the film!

    34. TheChosenOne on

Nvm it seems, 2 new updates hidden among the new 14 I had.

    35. TheChosenOne on

No longer available. Unless you deleted it yourself Vimeo does does not like certain video's placed on their site. They take a quite adament stand on not being youtube. Another gaming KS had its video removed (at first) on the site aswell.

Hi Everyone! Just a short note to let you know, the download of my first film THE NARRATIVE OF VICTOR KARLOCH will be available in the next 14 days. I must wait for the Kickstarter/Amazon processing to complete!
Thanks again and talk to everyone soon!

Hello, does anyone know if the Karloch download is already available for download?

      Thank you

    39. JFork on

Best of luck filming and creating this! Looks fantastic. If ever needing an editor hit me up,

    40. Kevin McTurk 2-time creator on

Hi Everyone ! Sorry for all of the confusion on the new reward of the Dave Petersen Archival print.
It is available as a STAND ALONE purchase of $32. If you would like to combine it with any of the other rewards, it must be ADDED to the existing packages (i.e. BOTH DOWNLOADS $25 + PRINT $32 = $57, or KARLOCH DVD, DOWNLOADS OF KARLOCH AND CALDER'S END $35 + PRINT $32 = $67,etc.)
Thanks again for the support of this project!
      Best, Kevin

      John Potten on

Sorry, same question! I've pledged for the Petersen print, but if I increase by pledge to $35 will it qualify for the downloads.. or is there another way to do that?

    42. Alcebiades Diniz on

Congrats for the awesome project. But I had a doubt: my pledge (US$ 35,00, for the archival print reward) granted the films digital download?

    43. Roxane Tourigny on

Congrats for being already funded! This is a very nice project.

    44. Stephanie Parkes on

I hope more people pledge! It'd be a crime not to see this project made and (selfishly) I really want the digital download of both films... Good luck!

    45. Wayne Rankin on

Loving everything I've seen so far and had to pledge! Can't wait to see this amazing work!

    46. Christopher Salmon on

Wow, Kevin! Jaw-dropping work, and your crew is as insanely talented as yourself -- I can't wait to watch it!!! (We may also have a key contributor in common: I am hoping to have Zoe involved in the score for my project as well! All the best my friend (I'll be keeping a close eye on things)!!!

    47. Jason Washer on

@Damien Baron Ah! That makes sense. Thanks for the reply!

      Damien Baron on

@Jason Washer: I wondered the same for a short while, before realizing we'll only be able to download "Karloch" when the project is successfully funded (as is the case with other rewards, physical or not). So 29 days to wait!
