Shinobi 27 Games is proud to launch a Kickstarter to fund the sequel to our successful, Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG best-seller, Angels, Daemons and Beings Between. This will be Shinobi 27 Games 6th title compatible with Goodman Games' Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game.
Angels, Daemons and Beings Between, Volume 2: Elfland Edition is more than just a sequel to AD&BB, Volume 1: Extended, Otherworldly Edition, it is a project that author James Pozenel Jnr. and publisher/editor/artist David Fisher have poured their creative souls into for over a year. The final product will be a hardback book of approximately 150 pages.
Like Volume 1, Elfland Edition will provide Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG gamers another great selection of patrons to use at their gaming table but with a distinct fae flavor and like its predecessor, Volume 2 requires the DCC RPG Core Rulebook for use (see below). DCC elves are, after all, compelled to have a patron from the beginning and we felt the selection of patrons could be richer for the Elf class. We strove to reflect the varied depictions of elves in mythology and folklore from which Appendix N authors drew upon for their fantasies.
Angels, Daemons and Beings Between Volume 2: Elfland Edition unleashes the hidden patrons of Elfland. From fey barbarians and vagabond thieves to vile demons and alien vegetation, this tome shines light on 13 new patrons of distinct fae character. With accompanying art, spells, spellburns, patron taints and the rituals required to commune with these patrons, this volume is a must for your campaign’s elves… and wizards, of course!
Stretch Goals *Updated
Original stretch goals were listed in $US - they have been altered to reflect currency exchange from Australian dollars. Apologies for the mistake.
Bonus Content: All this can be yours!
UNLOCKED - $3,700 - New Character Class- We think one of the patrons deserves a disciple that breaks the Elf class mold. We’ll make that a reality.
UNLOCKED - $3,850 - Random Magic Item Generator Tables - Includes nine (9!) tables to assist you with creating a wide variety of magical items. Great if you need inspiration or something on the fly. Comes with mechanics for drawbacks and curses!
UNLOCKED - $4,000 - Elven Mercurial Magic - We aren’t big fans of the dead zone in the Mercurial Magic Tables, so we’ll create a bunch of Mercurial Magic effects elves can use when 41-60 is rolled.
UNLOCKED - $5,000 More Art! - David has been working non-stop creating art for not only AD&BB: Elfland Edition, but also Curse of Mistwood, Revelations of Mulmo, and D.A.M.N. Magazine issues. We’re going to give him a break and commission some additional art for AD&BB: Elfland Edition. We have Stefan Poag on standby, ready to contribute! Each patron already has original art produced by David but we hope to flesh out the book with some full 'splash' pages of new black and white, old school art.
UNLOCKED - $6,000 Patron Revelation Sheets - If you’re like us, you don’t hand the player the patron entry and all spell details after patron bond is cast. Each invoke patron or patron spell check is a moment of mystery for your party’s caster. Patron Revelation Sheets let your player keep track of their supernatural relationship, results of spell checks, and other pertinent patron information. These will be four commissioned works in a variety of flavors (traditional wizard/alchemist, demonic/necromantic, faerie/druidic and future fantasy) to suit your character’s style.
UNLOCKED - $6,350 Patron Spells in Purple Sorcerer’s Grimoire - Jon Marr has graciously agreed to include the new patron spells in Purple Sorcerer’s online Sorcerer’s Grimoire DCC Spellbook Utility. We will use additional stretch funds to support Jon in his ongoing awesomeness to support our community.
UNLOCKED - $7,500 Fae Themed 0-level Funnel ‘Fae Hard!’ - This funnel adventure will have strong faerie themes, suitable for elves, but still playable as an otherworldly folkloric beginning for your next set of victims... we mean adventurers. This will be a separately developed and distributed product from AD&BB: Elfland Edition. Hagan McGruber has taken over Noc Marb, a prosperous faerie mound. Fledgling fae must band together to free themselves and the mound. It’s time to FAE HARD!
$11,000 Alternative Cover by Doug Kovacs - The chief artist synonymous with Dungeon Crawl Classics and Goodman Games will create a cover of his own devising.

Risks and challenges
As this is Shinobi 27 Games first Kickstarter, there is a lot riding on this project. James and I have spent a lot of time trying to reduce any risks in delivering this product to our backers.
That being said, James and I have a lot of the writing and art completed. The potential delays in the book’s delivery are mainly with the involvement of third party contributors. We have discussed the timetable with the artists but because we have enabled backer contributions as part of a stretch goal, there is a chance that some people wishing to contribute could fall behind our schedule. To control this risk, we will set a time limit for submission for those backers that will need to be met.
Since Shinobi 27 Games is based in Australia, the land down under, there are some risks involved with pricing internationally. Generally the AU$ rides below the U$ and we have endeavoured to translate our conversions to compensate for the higher cost in AU$.
We are committed to produce quality books for our customers and whilst we don’t foresee any delays with AD&BB: Volume 2: Elfland Edition, we acknowledge that sometimes production delays can happen. In the circumstance that there may be delays, we promise to post regular updates and keep open correspondence through the production process to ensure backers know we are doing everything we can to deliver what we promise, as soon as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
