About this project
In January 2017 Unity Theatre began the construction phase of Build Unity Better. An £845,000 Capital Redevelopment programme which will enable the organisation to reimage the front of house spaces so that they are fit for purpose for the next stage of our journey as well as making much needed improvements to our performances spaces.
Now in the very final stages of the build process, Unity Theatre requires the final push in funding so that the finishes to the building meet the initial ambition of the project.
Unity Theatre will use the money raised during this campaign towards the funds required for way finding signage within the redeveloped front of house spaces, soundproofing between the two theatre spaces Unity 1 and Unity 2, to install a brand new exterior sign, to pay for digital screens which will help to promote more performances coming to the venue, for new windows in our relocated staff offices and for other much needed equipment including a second ticket printer for the ticket office.

Risks and challenges
As with any building project we have a myriad of risks and challenges to overcome. Luckily we are at the very end of project so most of the challenges which have come along we have already faced and overcome.
We are working with very experienced and qualified partners including K2 architects, Vivark contractors and ThroughandAround project management who are all working hard to deliver Build Unity Better.
Build Unity Better has received funding from Arts Council England and Liverpool City Council and we have strict protocols to adhere by due to this funding. Unity Theatre has kept to these responsibilities.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
