About this project
We Love What We Do:
Maven OG is a vision driven group that seeks to bring American made eco-conscious attire to the American individual. We currently utilize a unique organic material derivative, viscose from bamboo, as well as organic cotton to develop clothing that compensates for shrinkage and affords a recurring desired fit. We seek to expose American culture by exploring its diversity of individuals who strive to benefit society with personal skills and unique abilities, while retaining environmental consciousness. We support a number of Mavens on their journeys and continue to pursue others that share our vision.
We Have the Energy and Audacity to Succeed:
Our vision began about a year ago with awareness for America’s current socioeconomic decline and a consciousness for the limited environmental biocapacity – nature’s ability to renew resources and provide ecological services. And we saw an opportunity to curve this situation; to revitalize it in a thriving direction. While everyone was jumping up to break down branches, we decided to dig down to the roots of the problem. The simple realization that we discovered has led us to offer a product that has multivariate appeal, contains the potential to retain consistent expansion, and is aware of its ‘Carbon Footprint’.
Here's the Issue:
There is just one problem! We are missing the last entity of our product trifecta: an American product; for the American individual; Made in America. Our ‘Anytime Beanies’ are hand-crocheted locally, but our revolutionary bamboo attire is currently manufactured out-of-country. Despite the environmental, hygienic, and purposeful qualities of our product, there has just been something missing.
So we did some research and have recently found a textile manufacturer in the US that can produce our products, fulfilling our ‘Made in America’ aspirations and subsequently providing support to the American workforce. However, with our desire to support the American individual in every facet possible there comes respective costs. Costs that we refuse to reflect on our supporters, which is why we created this Kickstarter project. Together we can bring the softest material that has ever graced Maven skin to American soil. Support us supporting the American individual, and let’s make America, American made!
Why Bamboo is a 'No Brainer':
- Viscose from bamboo and organic cotton are the foundation of our product, a material that generates a, “This is so soft and comfortable!” response when it hits your skin.
- The fiber absorbs, evaporates, and wicks away sweat acutely; staying cooler in the heat and significantly warmer in the cold.
- Its antibacterial and bacteriostasis bio-agent ‘bamboo kun’ keeps material fresher, odor-free longer, resistant to the spread of bacteria, and subsequently more hygienic and healthier.
- Not to mention bamboo fiber is 100% biodegradable and is known to improve soil quality in degraded and eroded areas of land, the production of which leads to increased photosynthesis and decreased greenhouse gases.
- We challenge you to deny that bamboo material is not the most comfortable you have felt, with your clothes on of course.
We Can't Wait to Prove It:
Maven OG is a proud supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
We possess countless supporters that have helped make our vision a reality, and would need an entire section to appropriately credit them. They are the backbone of this project and retain our undying gratitude.
Around a year ago we realized the social, economical, and environmental need for this project, and have since been working diligently to put things in motion. We love what we do, have the energy and audacity to succeed, and cannot wait to prove it. We are just two opportunists striving for an America that thrives together.
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."

Can you go into a little more detail on the $15k investment you need? Is this to cover the start-up cost of producing your clothing in the US, or to defray the ongoing increased cost over manufacturing elsewhere? Where are you currently manufacturing your
Great question. The $15k investment is to bring the manufacturing of our product to the US. We currently manufacture our products in China, and this is due to two entities: China largely holds patents in the process of manufacturing bamboo into a clothing material, and they are much more saturated in textiles that offer bamboo manufacturing that the current textile we work with can afford smaller unit minimums. Due to this, manufacturing bamboo in the US becomes very difficult and less cost effective for textiles. However, we have been in contact with the only bamboo textile in the US (that we know of) that can make our bamboo and organic cotton attire 'American Made'. Yet given the circumstances surrounding bamboo material manufacturing, the US manufacturer naturally possesses larger minimums and greater unit costs that would drive our retail prices in a category we do not want to be. By receiving the help of supporters like yourself we can better afford to bring the manufacturing of our unique product to American soil and support the American workforce in an effort to be 'American Made', while staying affordable and appealing to the American individual. Extremely soft and high quality material at prices affordable to the everyday person.
We appreciate and would be happy to accommodate anyone that wants to show their support for our project. We only ask that if you are internationally located please include the cost of shipping in your pledge and notify us accordingly when the time comes to claim your reward. Thanks for the support, and thrive together.
