Hello! My name is Tyron and if you have spoken with me on one of the various wargaming sites you may have previously bought one of my big cases. They were a limited run to test the water and to help me develop this into something more.
Now I am turning to you on kickstarter. With your help I will be able to produce a wider range of products to give gamers more choices, offering customization, a good value product, and most importantly a cheaper and better alternative.
Hopefully if this kickstarter is funded, it will enable me to produce more trays for different armies and game systems and also allow me to create different sized cases, messenger bags, backpacks, luggage cases etc
I'd like to say thanks in advance!
The case will be made from a strong material called e flute to ensure protection for your models.
It will be a plain brown case as shown, with my mantis logo on it, which I have photoshoped in to give an idea of what it will look like on the case. However I will be finalizing the design closer to the end date. Rest assured the final design will look nice!
The inner dimensions for the case is 380x280x145mm.
The outer dimensions for the case is 400x290x150mm.
All cases come with a 5mm topper, so your total inner depth is 140mm. (145 inner depth -5mm topper = 140mm).
The handle is made from plastic and can hold up to 10kg.
All trays will be 380x280mm with a 5mm base sheet (you need to add this to the depth of the tray). Half trays will be 190x280mm. There will be a kiss cut in the middle for players to cut the tray in half so you can mix and match the trays. This feature is made for for future products.
Below are some pictures to illustrate what the two current trays can do.
The trays are in the pictures below with the Orks are in a double case not a single case (single case is for the kickstarter).
Risks and challenges
Working alone, I am trying to keep the goals small and realistic for myself and pledgers. If successfully funded, the manufacturers will be able to produce the products right away as they have all the details and should take a few weeks to a month to make them.
The majority of my time will be spent single handedly collecting, assembling and shipping out the products which should take up to a month, possibly two months max depending on volume.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
