About this project
We want to make Part 3 of Left 4 Dead in Johnstown and we need your help. Some of the biggest critiques we had of our previous L4D in Johnstown films were that the guns were too small and the props were unrealistic. Well, we want to fix that. To do this we need your support so that we can buy some realistic props, a few handheld HD cameras, and some make-up. Any extra money we receive that is over the budget will be used to buy even better cameras. If you're not familiar with the Left 4 Dead in Johnstown films I've embedded Part 1 and Part 2 below. Part 3 will bring the L4D in Johnstown trilogy to a whole new level. The first two parts were more of a parody type film but we want to make this one more serious. It will be longer, better quality, more professional, and be much more story-driven. Part 3 will stick with the traditional fixed-camera/third-person view as Part 2. We will also be filming behind the scenes videos to update this page with. A more original film name may be chosen if we can get this project funded.
Part 1 finds the survivors in the Allegheny woods searching for a place to set up camp and sleep for the night. They stumble upon an old abandoned house which seems like a great place to rest. Part 1 was shot in first person like the video game and all the sounds and music are from the video game. Part 1 of L4D in Johnstown has over 500,000 views on YouTube.
Part 2 finds the survivors moving along train tracks in hopes to find some other survivors. Part 2 abandoned the first-person view for a more traditional view. It was shot in HD. The sounds and music are from the video games as well.
