"Frutti di Mare: Veni, Vidi, Antipasti!" is an easy to learn, yet highly strategic board game with enough depth for novice, as well as experienced players. The game can be played with 2-6 people (best 2-4) and involves grid movement, recruitment of pieces and dice rolling.

Plastic Pearls available as add-on: €3
The plastic pearls are available ad an optional add-on. Add €3 to your pledge to receive them as an extra reward. They will not replace the cardboard punch-through pearls that are included in the basic game!

To make sure Frutti di Mare arrives at your doorstep safely, we will use a highly renowned fulfillment partner called GamesQuest.
GamesQuest is a company located in the UK and has handled the fulfillment of numerous Kickstarter projects, including Scythe (Jamey Stegmaier highly recommends them). All shipping fees are standard, and based on the actual fee we will need to pay GamesQuest. The shipping fees will be added to your pledge level, and will be charged through Kickstarter. This will make sure you only need to provide your credit card information once. To reduce shipping costs for backers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, we will take care of the shipping in these countries ourselves. For an overview of the prices see below. Just like with our previous Kickstarter it is possible to pick up your game at one of the many conventions we're attending, including Essen SPIEL 2017, Ducosim, Spel (Antwerp), Spellenspektakel, and at the BBA HQ and release party.

Frutti di Mare is the brainchild of Maarten de Schrijver. Maarten made the original game design ánd artwork. He was working on Frutti di Mare for 2 years before he contacted us. Maarten is a 2D and 3D designer, which you'll quickly recognize from the beautifully designed artwork. The original game and theme struck us immediately, and after more play testing and adjustments Frutti di Mare was ready to be brought on Kickstarter for your judgement.
Risks and challenges
With our first successfully funded and fulfilled project last year, Black Box Adventures is ready for more. Although every project comes with risks, we've done our best to minimize them. Because this won't be our first project, we have some record to give backers confidence.
The game, artwork and design are ready to be printed. We received quotes from multiple manufacturers, both domestic as well as foreign. To get the high quality we want, we've chosen one of the best production facilities available. In addition, this manufacturer is located in the vicinity, which makes it easy for us to check the production process if necessary. The manufacturer will print and assemble the games, however some parts are normally produced in China (dice). For these parts we've chosen to search for another producer in the EU instead, to prevent possible delays/problems that are associated with overseas freight shipping.
Shipping is always a risk, especially when shipping international orders. Because the game is produced in the EU, EU-backers won't need to worry about extra customs charges. In our previous project we handled the shipping ourselves in order to lower the shipping costs to our backers and to learn the ins and out of the shipping process, despite the enormous amount of work. Due to one failing shipping company some backers received their game a little bit later, however in the end we've managed to handle all problems. With Frutti di Mare we will use a highly renowned fulfillment partner to tackle both of these problems: GamesQuest. GamesQuest is a company located in the UK and has handled the fulfillment of numerous Kickstarter projects, including Scythe. Jamey Stegmaier highly recommends them.
According to the manufacturer the game will be ready before Essen SPIEL 2017, however some events may be out of our or their reach. If for some unforeseen circumstances we won't be able to deliver the product at Essen SPIEL 2017, we will have to arrange a pickup at another convention or charge shipping costs if you've chosen for the pledge with pickup.
Lastly, although we are working very hard to expand our assortment, we put originality before anything else. Every game we publish must be an original masterpiece drooling in flavor on its own. We will do everything in our power to achieve this goal.
