About

Buy a Crate, Plant a Crate, Give a Crate.

We believe that sustainability starts with the food on your plate.

Food can never be more sustainable than when it comes from your yard or your community's yard.

We believe everyone should have the access to a food choice that says I am happy, I am healthy, and I am making the world a better place. But, the reality is that food deserts have cut people off from this choice. Our aim is to benefit and aid the pioneers in these communities who want to provide access to healthy and sustainable foods through community gardens.

Why community gardens? People have for centuries come together over food and our world could use some more togetherness. A sense of community is what we can pass down to, and preserve for, generations to come.

Community gardeners and garden leaders are people who are already getting their hands dirty. Like us they want to put sustainable food on not just their plate but their community's and we want to make this a possibility by getting more gardens out there!

Our aim is to provide physical resources to deserving community gardening projects and help new ones with logistical and planning problems.

Risks and challenges

Our biggest risk is not selling enough product to get funded. We have repurposed pallet wood on hand and a great partner to source more from.

We happen to lack pictures of us growing and planting our guides. We conceived our idea in October, planted it in November as an LLC, and nurtured the guides through research and development for this launch. We are growing all of our guides in Indiana and all purchases of our guides will allow you access be a part of our grow along video series.

One risk may be the lack of newness in our boards. We are repurposing boards and the garden bed is strong. Our boards are full of character and delightfully rustic. If you love what we are doing but want some other sort of bed, go for it but be sure to buy a guide. Our guides are made to be compatible for any space or any garden. Simply put, we want you to garden and are guides are made to turn any two thumbs green.

There is always a risk that your plants will not grow, but we can guarantee the best advice to help you grow! All guides will come with a detailed video platform coming to you weekly or bi weekly for your specific guide via Facebook and email.

We do run into a logistical problem for donated crates. Shipping eats away at every purchase, and will do so for donations. For deserving projects where shipping makes a hinderance, we will supply full funding for raised beds to be sourced locally.

In the event we go semi to full on viral, orders will be delivered on first come first served basis for larger sized items.

It is never to late to garden. It is never to late to start!
