Thank you, Will for the stretch goal idea of including an extra band.
Makes sense to me. You all are doing a great job getting the word out and I want to reward you. If we get to $1,500 pledged I will include with each wallet an extra band.
So, when we make it to $1,500 each wallet ordered will come with a bonus band.
Thank you everyone who's been supporting this project! I am stunned and thankful that you have caught my vision. The great thing about this wallet is there is lots of room for you to come up with new ways to use it.
I've had several people ask about the possibility of putting a key ring in one of the eyelet holes. Well, that is a great idea! I'm posting a few photos below of it set up that way.
Some of you have requested more photos of the wallet. I'm including them below as well. In the first photo there are 12 cards and 2 bills the second two photos feature 4 cards and 2 bills to give a little perspective. I personally keep 8 cards in mine most of the time.
I am stunned! It turns out you all like my Wanderlust Wallet as much as I do. Honestly, was nervous that it wouldn't meet $250 but you all have come along, supported it, and have spread the word. Thank you!
There were a few colors I wanted to include from the beginning but wanted to be careful not to stretch the finances too far. Because of your support I'm able to unlock four more colors.
- NOTE: At the end of the campaign I will send out a quick survey. At that time I'll get the colors you want and your address. These colors are available to standard or pattern level supporters.
All our stretch goals will be available to everyone so there is no way you will be penalized for supporting this project.

Hi, I'm Jason. Several years ago had severe lower back pain. The first thing my physical therapist told me was to stop keeping my wallet in my back pocket. She suggested I keep it in my front pocket.
That wallet was about the size of a brick and there was no way I was going to be able to keep it in my front pocket so I began a quest to find or build the perfect front pocket wallet. I've tried all the minimalist wallets I could get my hands on and for one reason or another they all failed to meet my expectations.
What I wanted in a wallet:
- Easy to use
- Not stupid looking
I've found that I really liked a simple leather front pocket wallet but depending on the planned activities I may carry more or less cards and/or cash in my wallet and once leather shapes to a stack of cards there is no going back.
The perfect wallet needs to be as small as possible, easy to use, it should be a simple design that doesn't take a lot of getting used to, it needs to be tough to keep up with the abuse I'll throw at it, it needs to be able to hold one card or ten cards and some cash and I'd really like it to not look stupid.
I've tried a multitude of designs. I've even subjected friends and family to trying out different designs. All failed to meet the mark for one reason or another. That is, until now.
This design hit me in the middle of the night and I knew it was going to be just right.
- Small - Just slightly larger than a credit card
- Tough - Made out of the same material high end holsters are made of and industrial rubber. Will stand up to daily use and abuse.
- Easy - No learning curve here
- Simple - Yep
- Flexible - You bet! The Wanderlust will hold one card or ten cards and can be used as a front pocket wallet, a lanyard wallet, or even a chain style wallet.
- Not Stupid Looking - Many color and pattern options.
The Wanderlust Minimalist Wallet is made of a piece of Kydex (tough plastic), two eyelets and a tough rubber strap. The rubber strap keeps your cards and cash right where they are supposed to be, they Kydex backer provides structure and a location for the eyelets, the eyelets are there if you want to use the 36" paracord lanyard to wear it on your neck, this is especially useful when traveling.
I need to raise a minimum of $250 so I'll be able to purchase the materials in large quantities.
The Wanderlust Wallet is made by hand right here in central Missouri.
If you are looking for a flashy business with lots of fancy stuff happening you'll have to look elsewhere. But, if you are looking for a great solution to a real problem that is hand made by real people and built to last then come on down!
