Lucky learned the art of bread-making when he was a teenager. A long time family friend named Maria had the oldest wood-fired oven in his hometown of San Giorgio Jonico in Southern Italy. Fascinated by the fire, the smells, and how the puccia would bring all of the families together, Lucky fell in love with cooking, primarily puccias.
