Posted by Chris Hegedus and D A Pennebaker (Creator)

Dear Kickstarter Supporters,

You may not have not heard from us for quite some time but we think it was worth the wait!

We would like to kick off the new year by announcing to all of you, who so generously supported our campaign nearly two years ago, that you now have a film in the documentary premieres section at the Sundance Film Festival! We are so very grateful for all your contributions. We know that we could not have gotten here without each and every one of you and we cannot wait to share the film we worked so hard on with you and audiences around the world. Sundance will be a wonderful launching pad! We are also so fortunate to be able to have Nonhuman Rights Project founder Steve Wise as well as NHRP team members who appear in the film Liddy Stiein, Monica Miller, Lori Marino with us at the festival. The Q&A’s will undoubltely be a highlight of the screening exerenice.

If you happen to be at Sundance, please come see your film on the big screen! Tickets will go on sale beginning… click the link below for further information regarding screening times and dates. We would love to see you there! But don't worry, if you do not plan on being in Utah we will be attending other festivals throughout the United States and will keep you informed here and on our new website that just went live today (LINK)!

And if you cant make it to a festival, our other big news is that the film has been acquired by networks around the world including; HBO, BBC, ARTE, SVT, Danish TV and VPRO and it will begin airing on networks starting this summer. Once we have the official airdates we will be sure to let you all know. We feel so fortunate to be have been able to work with all these amazing networks who, like you, have supported us in so many ways.

Thank you once again for being a part of our journey! We look forward to sharing the film with you.

Wishing you al the best in 2016!

Chris, Penny, Frazer, Rosadel, Julia, Nate

For those in the Netherlands, it airs tonight at 20.25 on NPO2. Would have been nice to have heard it here first...

I am thrilled to hear that you were able to complete the movie and that it will be at Sundance. I am sure the response there will be overwhelming and word will spread quickly to spread Mr. Wise's message. Thank you so much to Mr. Wise and everyone involved for making this happen. Now those previously without a voice will finally be heard through this movie.
