Happy belated Easter

Posted by Marcus Gipps (Creator)

Woohoo! Just slipped over £18k as I was writing this. Many thanks all, and we should hit 300 backers shortly. I'm grateful to each and every one of you. And do come and say hello on the comments page - everyone here is a fan of Uncle, so by definition we all have something in common!

I know it was a bit quiet over Easter, but I'm back in a place with the internet now, so hopefully we'll see some more coverage and backers as I keep on talking about this. Still, even if this was to end tomorrow I'd be happy that I could make an absolutely fantastic book, and print enough to allow me to sell it through bookshops for at least a year or two. More money means more copies and better distribution, though, so please do keep telling your friends and family. And if you know anyone who works in the media, send them my way!

On that note, it looks like BBC Radio Somerset will be doing a piece on us on Thursday morning's breakfast show at around 8.15 or so - they're interviewing J.P. Martin's grandson James Currey tomorrow, and then I have to be at the London studio on Thursday morning. It may get bumped, of course, but if you follow me on twitter (@marcusgipps) or stop by the facebook page I'll try and let people know what's going on.

And if anyone out there has the ability to record BBC Somerset and email me the file, I'd be very grateful.

I hoped to be able to add some stretch goals here, especially around extra material for the book, but because of Easter, the quotes that I need haven't arrived. Hopefully tomorrow. Tomorrow will also see new rewards added, including lunch with some of the people involved and hopefully a couple of other things!

Best, and thanks again,

Marcus
