The Detroit On Fire video game is inspired by the Def Jam video game series from years ago. This is the first ever game based on the City Of Detroit and the rap industry that it has produced. Included in this game will be a detailed and intriguing story line to keep you on the edge your seats. The game will also feature a unique soundtrack with a balanced mix of throwback and new school Detroit Rap music.
Some of the characters included in this game are Doughboyz Cashout, Icewear Vezzo, Big Sean, Eminem, Trick Trick, Blade Icewood. WipeOut, Team Eastside, Pablo Skywalkin', StuntHard, and Eastside Ivo. The list has reached 100+ with various artist including a list of female Detroit rappers and celebrities such as Delicious, Kash Doll, Detroit Che, and Dej Loaf. All of the venues will be authentic and here are just a few, the Riverwalk, Eastland Mall, Northland Mall, Somerset Mall, and Woodward Ave.
The game uses the Universal Fighting Engine but will be released through the Unity Game Engine. The game is set to release on Xbox One and PC on June 1, 2015. For some backers it will be May 18, 2015. To get you excited for the game I would recommend that you search a few of the listed names to see what those artists have to bring to the table.
Risks and challenges
My primary challenge has been finding the time to work on the game. I have been scraping up money at my job to pay for my Hotel expenses while I attend school. That is my main reason for creating this Kickstarter, to allow me more time to work on the game and less time selling shoes for little to no money.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
