About this project
Welcome to Dillon Montara
Dillon Montara is a denim collection rooted in Northern California - between Dillon Beach north of San Francisco and Montara with its rough hallow beauty south of the City.
It is a Denim Line made for surfers, makers, tinkers, thinkers, dreamers and doers. People who take love and take pride in the small details, who worship tradition but know how to keep things moving forward.
We love denim because even after all these years it keeps us motivated, it keeps us guessing. Denim is a live infinite product that keeps us aiming to improve and improve. Something special that grows from a raw material in our factory to being part of your daily life and practice.
Experience Builds Focus
We’ve been making jeans quietly for major brands for nearly 20 years, patterning and helping other brands refine and make excellent products. We've shipped 1000s of pairs of products managing oversees factories and US production.
Premium menswear hand-crafted in San Francisco
Dillon Montara is our own vision of what a clean, minimal and utilitarian product line should be.
An original fit, an original pocket, the best of materials, the best of trimmings and finishes, made slowly by hand here in our factory in the Mission District of San Francisco.
THE BEST JEAN IN THE MARKET
The Dillon Montara tapered jean is the core product of which our other products revolve around. We make shirts, jackets, accessories and more, but at the core we’re denim and this jean is our pinnacle.
We traveled through Japan and the US sourcing the best materials and are pleased to offer them in three beautiful fabrics. The fit features a medium block, a medium rise, a leg that tapers just slightly. Not skinny, not straight, tapered for a fit that is unique, practical and wearable. For people who do , and live in their jeans.
We tape the seams, we finish the jeans in single needle, we use the right machines for the right parts, American hardware in brass and Nickel. Small quiet details that speak only to the wearer. We source our leather from a tannery in Northern California and finish these jeans entirely in house with a small team of craftsmen and makers.
We use machines when needed and hands when better.
The first pairs of these jeans were prototyped over a year ago. We’ve made a small run and tested them with friends, released them in a few stores, listening to feedback, getting reports, and seeing how they grow into their wearers. Small tweaks, changes, improvements and alterations. We’re amazed how a simple pro duct offers an infinite reward. Something as designers and makers that keeps us going, guessing and learning.
PROVEN REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE
For doers and real people - we humbly present you some wearers.
From bankers to tellers to electricians to artists - we’ve tests jeans on a variety of bodies and lives - we’re ready to take them to wider audience and we’re asking for your help in growing our small operation, in keeping the tradition of making denim in San Francisco alive.
For doers, thinkers and believers. We invite you to live in our jeans.

Risks and challenges
We've been slowly making jeans quietly for major brands for over 20 years and have managed 1000s of pairs of production in overseas and US factories. We have worked with all of our vendors for years.
We know that experience doesn’t completely eliminate all the risks going forward.
Timing is always hard and we do things slowly and surely. In the best-case scenario, we can have fabric, buttons, patches and labels in hand three weeks after the Kickstarter closes. We can turn these around in as little as four weeks, getting the first garments in the mail by the end of the month. We're ready! If you have questions visit us our factory or our retail store - Revolveronline.com. We're always here for you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
