Agents, traditional publishers and vanity self publishing houses can drive a new author with dreams of literary success to the brink. But without those experiences as frustrating as they were, I would not have the understanding of the industry and the actions that authors need to take to sell more books that I do today. With lessons learned, I formed L3 Media, a publishing and communications concern to bring interesting stories both fiction and non-fiction into the public eye. Our first priority project is the successful Launch of my urban thriller, From The Waist Up.
This novel is my first foray into the world of fiction. The story has been well received by those who have read the book. (See link below.) Several people have also told me that they believe that the story has screenplay potential. The key is to gain more exposure. The book is done and the project will ready to go the day after our goal is reached.

predicament is a hefty insurance settlement, a dubious financial transaction
and unpredictable ex-lover.
Undeterred, Felix focuses on finding his wife's killer. As he attempts to put the pieces
together Felix is propelled through a series of events that leave him no margin
for error. Get ready to keep guessing to the end.
The funding that we seek will be allocated for the following:
1) Purchase of ISBN's. These are the numbers that every book must have to be sold in retail.
2) Printing costs for 250 copies of my novel, From The Waist Up for promotional and advance sale purposes to create buzz about the book.
3) Website enhancements that will include enhanced video and e-commerce tools, improved Search Engine Optimization and other features designed to prolong visits and improve functionality. Additional marketing expenses are also included.
4) Working capital dedicated to the planning and execution of a high profile launch event at a notable Washington, DC venue. The goal of the event is to elevate both the book and the author's profile, generate buzz among potential readers, book clubs and public at large, as well as garner media attention. This event ends the project.
