Before you start reading, we recommend that you play our main theme to help draw you into the world of Final Equinox: The Arrival.

Welcome to the world of Final Equinox: The Arrival. A turn-based spaceship role-playing game. You are an admiral of a newly formed fleet stationed in the Outer Worlds, a place overrun by raiders, rebels, and marauders. They fight against you with tactics you have never trained for. Final Equinox puts you in the driver’s seat and allows you to make decisions that will shape the world around you.

Experience combat like never before. In Final Equinox: The Arrival you are the admiral of your fleet and it is up to you to protect your crew and vanquish your enemies. Use different strategies to outmaneuver and flank your opponents as you gain the upper hand. Different classes of ships will require different tactics. Can you lead your fleet to victory?

The dialogue interactions will take place through a visual novel-like interface. Explore the many different branching paths as you move the story in the direction you want to go. Whether big or small, each interaction in the game will remember your choices with an immediate or long-term payoff. The skills you choose will affect your decisions. Can you make the right choices to keep your crew alive? Will you be able to explain your decisions? Our story reacts to the way you play.

Our travel system offers a new unique way to merge narrative choices and the effects they can have in combat. Throughout travel, random and planned events will occur, forcing you to make choices which will affect the supplies and morale of your fleet. Low morale means your crew will have lower performance in combat. Will you be able to manage your supplies effectively as you traverse the dangers of space?

As the admiral of a fleet, you know your crew is the lifeblood of your ship. The stats of your crew affect the stats of the ship. Each crew member brings with them their own set of skills and abilities, so placing the right crew members into the right positions is essential.
The decisions you make will affect the morale of your crew giving you advantages and disadvantages in combat. Journey with eight interact-able companions, as their stories become intertwined with yours. How will your crew perceive you? Will they trust, respect, or fear you? Those decisions are up to you.

Final Equinox: The Arrival boasts a unique world, unlike anything you have ever seen before. We crafted our world to blend a grounded hard Sci-Fi element with the fantastical.
We tried to create a deep world with plenty of conflicts and nuances for you to explore. The Outer Worlds is a place filled with myths and legends. As you continue you along your journey, the lines between myth and reality will be become blurred, and it will be up to you to decide what is real, and what isn’t.

Our art style was heavily inspired by 70's and 80's Sci-Fi. We looked at early concept pieces by artists such as Chris Foss, John Harris, John Berkey, and Moebius to establish the overall look and feel of our world. One thing we wanted to avoid was the visually dark feeling you see in a lot of other Sci-Fi franchises. We specifically wanted to capture the uniqueness of the art from this time period, but we also provide our own unique take.

Follow the trail of Cnuptar The Red as you try to recover his lost ship, The Great Star Runner. Journey down the path to uncover the hidden secrets he has left behind.
Each completed box in the social goals will cause The Great Star Runner to progress on the path. If The Great Star Runner reaches the end, it will unlock The Great Star Runner DLC for Final Equinox: The Arrival, and allow you to use the ship in the game.

Frozen Realm Studios was founded by two friends during a cold Wisconsin winter in early 2016. We've been joined by people all over the world.

We've self-funded the development of the game up to this point and we really think this game could benefit from additional funding. We also didn't want to go the traditional route of finding a publisher. We'd rather answer to the fans of the game and make the game that we want. We also believe that Kickstarter will give us extra breathing room and make the kind of game the fans truly deserve and giving us the necessary time to make everything at a high level of quality.

Thank you for helping make this game a possibility. Please spread the word, and be sure to interact with us on Discord, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Risks and challenges
We have been in active development for the past six months, and we have been working on the project for the last two years. We have a good chunk of the systems and features already implemented. During this time we have overcome many complications we have had with the engine, and have assembled a great team that can bring this project to completion.
Our biggest challenge to overcome will be technical delays or personal delays. Both Jon and Kevin are not taking a salary to make the game, so barring any medical complications they believe they will be able to get the game out in a timely manner and in the quality the game deserves to be in.
