Sous Sol is a fully bonded & licensed boutique winery in the heart of Seattle's Historic Pioneer Square. The winery was founded in 2007 by 5 friends with a mutual love & respect for the winemaking process. What started as a simple trip to the Yakima Valley turned into the biggest impulse buy of our lives, a half ton of Sangiovese grapes. Since then 250 cases of wine, over five vintages, has been produced in the original basement location. Realizing that we were at maximum capacity, the winery itself was recently relocated out of Derek & Michelle's "Sous Sol" to accommodate future growth of our winery. Our philosophy seeks to provide great, old world "style" wines that are unique, approachable & affordable to our target audience. Everything is hand bottled, labeled & pressed by Sous Sol partners Joshua, Ambrose, Michelle, Mike & Derek. All partners have put their own time & money into the new production facility, which has included all of the demolition & rebuilding of the new winery. In order to continue our growth we need your assistance to finalize the build out of our winery as well as purchase bottles, corks & labels for our 2011 vintage.

As with all business ventures, risks & challenges arise. In the past 6 years we have focused our wine making style while establishing an ever growing community of strong supporters. With 50 years of combined Seattle restaurant experience we have cultivated numerous connections for direct sales & placement of our wine. The relationships we have fostered with our growers guarantees a supply of premium Yakima Valley grapes for the future.
