About this project
Help Print The Obama 2012 “Don’t Call It A Comeback” T-Shirt
We are designer/writer team Geoff Shafer and Alec Lawson. We created this t-shirt with an eye on the 2012 presidential election, with a specific goal of increasing turnout among young voters. The design is original, inspired by the groundbreaking LL Cool J video, Mama Said Knock You Out.
This t-shirt is intended to be a conversation starter, to inspire young people to talk about the election and to actively participate in our democratic process. We feel strongly that democracy works best when more people participate. If they’re wearing cool t-shirts too, all the better.
These will be high-quality shirts made in the U.S.A. Our design will be screen printed in Tennessee using a 4-color process, on 100% cotton American Apparel t-shirts, which are produced in a sweatshop-free factory in downtown Los Angeles.
The funds you donate will will make it possible for us to print our first 750 t-shirts. Any funds beyond our goal may allow us to print the t-shirt in additional colors.
If our goal is met (fingers crossed), we’ll ship shirt(s) to donors in the size of your choosing in June. We’ll confirm your size by email, so don’t worry if you don’t see that option when you donate.
Thank you very much for your help!
