A collaboration between Spiros Halaris and Katarina Voloder
We are Spiros (graphic designer and illustrator) and Katarina (graphic artist): two creatives who need your help to publish our book and bring this project to life!
'unconscious' is a collaborative project that aims to visualise a new perspective of gender identity in relation to the idea of the archetype Anima by Carl Jung.
The Anima is the male's unconscious, inner feminine personality. She is the sensitivity often manifesting itself by appearing in dreams.
We are designing a book visualising the unconscious with vibrant illustrations, graphics and typography.
Examples of our artwork for the book and for your rewards:
and many more visuals...
Why we are doing this book:
The book will be an in-depth, multi-disciplinary exploration of illustration, graphics and typography that uses philosophy and critique to explore the ideas we try to communicate in our visuals.
The only limit being our imagination.
After the project is funded:
Any donations after this point will only increase the quality and coverage of this publication. We're aiming to create different versions of this book: an interactive PDF, an iPad edition app, and an eBook. This serves as a pre-sale of the book. All of the gifts and experiences are project related, too - so they're one-of-a-kind!Thank you all so much. We will update continuously as the project comes to life!
What we will do with the $7,000
With your help, we can meet our initial goal of a 500 limited edition first book run, with a secondary goal of getting our book stocked in every design/creative bookstore globally. The money will go to getting our books manufactured and shipped, as well as to help pay for various other branded materials included in the rewards.
Any additional money that comes in beyond the $7000 will go toward developing and distributing the Electronic and Exhibition forms of the Project.
If you haven't used Kickstarter before here is how it works:
We have 40 days and we have to raise $7000. If we don't raise the total amount by the end of the 40 days, we don't get any of it. On the right side of the project page you will see all the different levels of rewards. Whatever you can give between $1 and $500 really helps. And for each amount you give, you get a different reward. The rewards are augmenting, so the more you give the more you get.
We really hope you will consider backing our project.
