by Robert Harrison
This is just the greatest power pop album of all time. Before they became scarce, Id scarf up any I found and pass them out to friends. Love turning people on to good music. One of the lucky friends left a message on my machine after hearing Kontiki, "you are a God!" That's what he said and I knew what he meant. Though I was just the messenger. I love the Big Picture almost as much and Amps of Sugarland drives me so crazy; my skin crawls, pulse quickens as the staccato beat blows right through me and as the drums roll and roil to conclusion I'm left half out of breath, exhilarated and spent. No offense to the greatest band of all time, but the Fab Four never did that to me.
Someone has notified me that have the first recordings and footage of Cotton Mather in 1991... I am terrified.
France... if only. My favorite place to travel. Can't believe its been so long. Find us a label there and I'll do it for the food alone...(and the vino)
OH! GREAT YOU REMEMBER THE PERIGUEUX SHOW!! I WILL BE THRILLED IF I COULD SEE THAT PHOTO... BY THE WAY, DO YOU KNOW IF A FRENCH LABEL HAVE RELEASED THE FUTURE CLOUDS AND RADAR AND STOCKTON CD'S? GIVE MY REGARDS TO WHIT, GREAT GUITAR PLAYER... BYE, JEAN-MARIE
And what about a french gig in the future ? that would be really cool !
Ok, but what about a 3D movie?
Responding to the two French comments- I remember that Perigueux show well and perhaps a photo with you out by our van... has a familiar feeling...
DVD? There is little to no footage of live Cotton Mather but I am working on a few things that might come out later... but who knows
but....we gotta hit the goal first
Oh Yeah! An extra DVD would be a great idea!! We can't find any video about Kontiki on youtube ...
Any chance for an extra DVD in this reissue ?
HELLO MR HARRISON!
HAPPY TO BE A BACKER ON THIS PROJECT. GREAT TO HAVE NEWS FROM YOU.
I MET YOU AND THE BAND AFTER YOUR SHOW IN PERIGUEUX (FRANCE) IN 2002.
I'M A RECORD DEALER IN BERGERAC (FRANCE) AND EVEN IF THE COTTON MATHER CD'S ARE NOW OUT OF PRINT IN FRANCE (SUCH A SHAME...), I HAVE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED "KONTIKI" TO ALL MUSIC LOVERS AND FELLOW MUSICIANS.
TAKE CARE AND CARRY ON...
The Seven.... that's about all I can make out!
So much for the lyric sheet.
