COSMONE "The pair of dauphine-style or sword hands lends added elegance to a timepiece already oozing with refined touches like fine radial satin finishing on the lugs and polished edges which bequeaths the timepiece with texture and depth far beyond what other timepieces have achieved for the given price range."
WATCHPAPER "The Heirloom Series represent TRAVISLEON’s debut as a watch brand. They don’t hide their source of inspiration, which are the Calatrava models made by Patek in the 30’s."
WRISTREVIEW "The lugs and the bezel are neatly designed and the 10mm thickness of the case ensures both luxury and comfort at the same time. For me that’s a great accomplishment."
TheTimeBum "The designers clearly studied 1950s watches, and put that research to good use. The applied gold baton markers, dot indicies, dauphine hands, even the logo and typeface on the dial recall the Eisenhower era."

It all began with the admiration for mechanical watches; seeing how each and every tiny pieces of metal purposefully engineered to work together without any batteries is purely fascinating.
Inspired by the fine craftsmenship of watches, we started our journey to create watches that are befiting to be passed on to the next generation.
TRAVISLEON bears testament to the founders' vision of smart luxury - timeless style and mechanical movement in an affordable watch.
We based our design on four Philosophy that every TRAVISLEON watch embrace, Crafted for Legacy, Detailed with Purpose, Fine Art of Horology, Comfort meets Style.
"Heirloom Series" is inspired by the 1930s Calatrava-styled watches. “Calatrava” refers to a classic style of watch introduced in the 1930s by Patek. The style is inspired by the Bauhaus principles that based on a minimalist approach, which feature clean lines with bold, simple coloration.
We aimed to create a classic fine watch that is befitting to be passed on to the next generation. We consider watches as something more than a means of telling the time. It holds valuable memories. We believe that our attitude towards time determines tomorrow.
We sketched notebooks after notebooks, running through numerous iterations. Finally after 6 months of hard work,we came up with a design that both of us had a good feeling about.
The Heirloom dial took the minimalist timeless approach from the 1950s. The dial is marked with index stick because of its simplicity. The minute index is dictated with raised dots for its elegancy. We matched the dial with a pair of dauphine-styled hands for its good legibility.
The case measures 40mm in diameter and 10mm thick, including the domed Sapphire crystal. The bezel is designed to be tall and thin so that it could show off the dial to a greater effect and making the watch appear larger.
The case comes with fine radial satin finishing on the lugs and polished edges to produce the texture and depth to bring out the characteristics of the watch case. The lugs are long and curved, ending below the caseback, enhancing the fit against the wrist for comfort.
The Heirloom is matched with a croc-grain leather strap in either black or brown. With a 20mm lug, the Heirloom fits a wide range of strap types and colors for different occasions. The buckle come with an engraved TRAVISLEON logo and a polished finish that matches the case.
Before we begin our campaign, we went through extensive refinement and adjustment to our prototype with our supplier. With the final design and technical drawing, the watch prototype is ready to be produced.
The production of the Heirloom prototype took a few months to complete. We couldn’t miss this magical moment when our first prototype is assembled, so we flew over to the supplier’s factory to witness the process.
Each step in the assembly of our final prototype is done manually by our craftsman using traditional method and tools. This allow us to understand how delicate the process of watch assembly is. The clean controlled environment helps us to ensure that all components are free from dust and fingerprints.

Designing our packaging from scratch enables us to control the look and feel we want to give our customers. Instead of using ready-made watch boxes, we came up with the design based on minimalist and clean uncluttered lines with classy finishing such as hotstamping and embossing.
In addition, a classic fleece watch pouch is included to keep each TRAVISLEON watch from scratches. We believe befitting for a watch to be kept for generations to come. Each Heirloom series also comes with a warranty card, additonal calf leather strap, microfibre cloth and spring bar tool.
The Heirloom series is ready for production with the suppliers on standby. In order to bring the Heirloom watch to you, we need to meet the minimum order quantity.
By making a pledge, you will secure a serialized limited Founder's Edition of Heirloom watch at a very special Kickstarter price.

Co-founders Travis & Leon came together with the sole intent of crafting game-changing mechanical watches that would become the de facto in collectible timepieces.
Travis is a commercial airline pilot & Leon is a software evangelist. In 2014, Travis and Leon decided to use their individual experiences they have obtained from the years they spent travelling around the world to create their ideal timepiece and watch company. Led by their philosophy in life - 'Time is Attitude', they bucked the trend of watches turning ‘smart’, in favour of the traditional art of mechanical watches.
Risks and challenges
Getting people to know our product has been the primary challenge. Besides brand awareness, creating and delivering a new product has always been a very complicated process.
As with most products, manufacturing is often subjected to delays and setbacks. We are able to minimize such issues by engaging top manufacturers trusted by major international brands. A strong working relationship has been built with months of communication with the manufacturer.
Transparency will be key for the confidence from our backers. We will notify all backers of our progress and we can be easily contacted via Kickstarter or our website.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
