We want girls to be inspired towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers and encourage them to picture, imagine or draw themselves in STEM careers.
Preliminary Reviews of Everyday Superheroes:
This book is terrific! As the mother of a daughter and a son, it's something we will read together over and over again. I'm honored to be included and hope it can help convince more young people to go into these industries by piquing their interest early in their lives.
SUPERHERO Sonia Lo, Vertical Farmer
A riveting introduction to STEM careers for students. Every girl in the world can clearly see herself in at least one STEM Superhero and be inspired.
-Florentia Spires, National STEM Leader
A much awaited resource for parents and educators designed to guide learning and explore the world of the STEM fields. The Everyday Superheroes within these pages are real-world, accomplished professionals that all children can relate to and envision themselves as in their future. A must have book for every home and library!
- Nancy J. Watson, M.Ed., Director of STEM Professional Development and Programs
This book is just what is needed to model to girls and boys alike that both males AND females play an integral role in making the world function and thrive. I appreciate this text for proving to our youth that superheroes do not exist solely in the pages of a book but rather among us.
-Megan Greene, Elementary Library Teacher
