‘Low Expectations’ is a comic love story that is mostly about surviving apocalyptic hangovers and hideous social gaffes. Follow Georgie, 24, and her band of alcoholic friends as they blaze an ignoble trail through the East London fashion scene! Imagine Nathan Barley passed out behind a bin, in £300 stripper heels.
Our 12-strong crew is made up of talented final year film students and recent graduates from Met Film School, generously lending their expertise over a three-day shoot. Every scene will be art directed to be as highly stylized and fabulous as possible, contrasted with the grit and graffiti of Dalston and Elephant and Castle.
We would like to thank Fyodor Golan for very kindly lending us outfits from their stunning AW14 collection ‘Crocodile’ to use as costumes. www.fyodorgolan.co.uk
The £2,500 goal pledge will help us to pay for: professional actors, locations, equipment, a van, catering for 18 people and a ‘Low Expectations’ neon light for the opening and end credits! www.loveneon.co.uk
We would like to give a HUGE thank you to anyone who pledges towards our project. Even if it’s just 20p, every little helps and is very much appreciated.
If we don’t hit our target we get no money at all, so please share us with your friends! (And enemies, if they are rich.) If there is anything else you would like to know about the project, please feel free to ask us any questions here on Kickstarter. Thanks!
My special thanks to Leila Reinelt, who directed and edited this Kickstarter video and our lead actors, Sophia Carr-Gomm ('Georgie') and Oliver Elliot ('Man With Ridiculous Hair').
Risks and challenges
The main one would be failing to reach our Kickstarter goal! It’s a lot of money to ask for a short film, but we are dedicated to making it look as visually arresting as possible. We want it to be as fabulous as it is absurd- and for that we need your help!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
