About this project
More Fun On An iPhone/iPad Than Apple Thought Possible - Dog Pile
This game is so addictive, we're waiting to get complaints from the airlines that people INSIST on finishing the game before turning it off for their flights. This game is IMPOSSIBLE to put down.
Scoop is the cutest dog you'd ever want to meet. He loves to give kisses and licks. But Scoop needs YOU to take him for a walk...right now.
Scoop is waiting at the door. At first he's patient. But when you gotta go, you gotta go. He turns, He fidgets. He needs your help!
Once Nature calls, you have just 30 seconds to gather Scoop's collar, leash, and your shoes and get Scoop out of the house in time!
If you beat the clock, you get a big, wet kiss from Scoop.
If you don't...well, it's Uh Oh!
Fortunately, you get another chance to get Scoop out of the house.
Warning: This game is totally addictive. It's non-stop fun! Our Dog Pile Maze Game is designed to keep you glued to your iPhone/iPad for hours. The game features multiple levels that steadily increase in complexity as you race through your house maze. You have the one goal that every dog owner understands intimately.
To accomplish your goal, you must first collect items - such as shoes, a leash and a collar - while maneuvering around obstacles like furniture, wet floors and THE CAT FROM HELL. Hurry! as the clock quickly runs down and your 3D dog becomes more and more frantic.
Complete the maze in time and you will be rewarded with a wet, slobbery kiss. But if you don’t make it out of the house…
Ewww! It'll make or break your day.

Dog Pile Maze is a clever, speed-oriented maze game to which every dog owner has an emotional connection.
Created by the staff of the online magazine Dogington Post (DogingtonPost.com).
We’ve self-funded this project, devoting months of time and effort to the game, but now we need just a little more funding to complete the programming with the same quality and clever fun developed at the beginning levels.
With the help of the Kickstarter community, we'll be able to wrap up with the same high quality craftmanship this addictive little game deserves.
All funds we raise beyond the goal will be used to increase the production value of the game… add more levels, create an android version, and beef up our marketing campaign at launch.

We need your help in creating the single best iPhone/iPad game about dogs. Donate and we'll give you the game. But you'll have to earn your dog licks.
Don't worry, your screen will come clean after Scoop licks it!
Risks and challenges
One of the biggest risks in building a video game for iOS is that it won’t be fun or challenging enough for players to keep coming back. That’s why we designed Dog Pile with a theme clever enough, speaks intimately to dog lovers, and with just enough of a gross-out factor that it has the potential to go viral.
It’s even funnier (and more disgusting!) when you lose!
A backer may have concerns about our team completing and releasing Dog Pile. All four members of our team are full-time, dedicated employees of Dogington Post, our parent company. We are dedicated to this project wholeheartedly. Though Dog Pile is our first venture into the exciting world of gaming, every one of us has years of experience developing and launching a range of products from concept all the way to retail.
We hope you can see the devotion we have to getting this game completed. We are passionate about what we do, and we are passionate about dogs. Though we use humor and fun to get our message across, our focus is always on helping dogs.
There are always snags with any product launch – delays in beta testing, lead developer crashes his car and ends up in the hospital (don’t worry, that already happened), Apple drastically changes something on the iOS platform… but we are experienced and equipped to handle whatever craziness comes our way. Yes, there is always the possibility of a delay because of our passion about the game, and our passion about dogs, but we're serious about getting our Dog Pile game out into your hands.
