About

This project is based on the mechanical homework of my daughter that I helped a lot :) The homework is to create something that use some mechanical tools such as slope, pulley etc. I designed and made it by myself in several days. 

What I planned to make is an easy to carry, easy to install, easy to replay toy and have fun. After having finished it, my daughter took it to school and the whole classmates surrounded her for the demo. Because there were too many watchers, she had to demo it again and again and she had no time to eat her lunch. This makes me having an idea that maybe I can mass produce it as a toy.

I redesigned the toy in this project. It will be a little different from the video. The same thing is both of them are placed vertically and have several mechanical components connected to each other. The player drops a ball at the left side, all the components will do some movements one by one to the other side of the board. The board of the redesigned toy is placed vertically and has many holes on it. You can plug in several mechanical components to different holes to make a new combination. You can even put another board on the top of this board or at the left or right side of this board. Hence the possibility is infinite. That's why it can also be called as infinite matrix toy.

If I hit my funding goal I will launch the project immediately. The toy can be manufactured in 40 days and send them to all my backers.

Risks and challenges

The challenge is choosing the right materials for each components. The size, weight and shape of each component are very important for the toy to play smoothly. The friction force is depend on the material. I will test all the available materials and choose the best suitable one in despite of the price.
