We're rollin!

Posted by Alicia Tapia (Creator)

The last time I updated, we were in a rough place.  No constructor, no trailer, and my how far we have come!  Thank you to our backer Rasmus for reminding me to post a much needed update!

I'm happy to share that we are pedaling books hard throughout San Francisco.  Our "regular" hours are in the Panhandle on Tuesday evenings, but you can also catch the Bibliobicicleta at Sunday Street events, in the park, at farm stands, at the beach.  Click here to see some of our photos at some of our events!

Thank you to all of our backers, for making this a reality.  It took longer than expected to get it up and running but nothing makes me happier than handing out books every week and spreading the enthusiasm for literature and lifelong learning through books.

If you would like to donate books please email me for mailing address to send books to.  If you're in the San Francisco area please visit us in the Panhandle on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm.  As the sun sets sooner we're about to be equipped with spoke lights so we can continue handing out books into the night.

 In the Panhandle.

 Sunday Streets

 Free Farm Stand.

Most of all, we hope that you continue to spread an enthusiasm to sit with yourself and simply read.  That's the whole point!  Special thanks to our co-librarians Danielle Farinacci and Jay Simpson for their guidance, time, and support.

I am so glad I found this project on kickstarter. I feel my small donation really made a difference--keep pedaling! Meanwhile, I am trying to finish painting my Free Library so I can get it up in front of my house soon! Books to all!
