Our mission is to provide unique, handcrafted, quality treats - without any yucky stuff - to bring joy, pleasure, & satisfaction to our customers and guests.
We are starting with gelato and sorbet (sorbetto if you're Italian) using real, honest, and in-season ingredients. Our plan is to use as many local connections (farmers, etc.) as possible. The gelato and sorbet will be made in small batches. We'll be offering some flavors all year and supplement them with seasonal flavors monthly.
Our gelato and sorbet will be offered in individual cups, pints, quarts, and gallons initially at farmer's markets and festivals in the Stow, Ohio area and eventually at a retail location we're hoping to open very soon.
What these funds will buy:
~ new batch freezer (made in the USA)
~ used blast freezer
~ marine coolers
~ cups, lids, tasting spatulas
~ fees and expenses for Kickstarter
Our standard gelato flavors will include Dark Chocolate, Madagascar Vanilla, and Salty Caramel. Standard sorbet flavors will be Aztec Chocolate, Meyer Lemon, and Grapefruit (my personal favorite - I'm addicted to it!).
A sampling of the seasonal flavors we're working on for the summer: Black & Blue (berries), Peaches & Herb, and Watermelon Mint. Coming in the fall, we'll have a Spiced Pear, Caramel Green Apple, and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Winter will bring Champagne, Peppermint Stick, and Eggnog. In the spring, we expect to have Strawberry Mint, Blood Orange, and Rhubarb Custard.
Along with all that lusciousness, we will also have special flavors such as Chocolate Hazelnut, Irish Coffee, Chocolate Orange, White Chocolate Peanut Butter, Raspberry Chip, and others as our experiments deliver new taste temptations to us.
When we exceed this project's goal, we'll be adding additional equipment like worktables, a canopy tent, portable cooktop, and a gelato cabinet.
