What is "UnitMaker"?
It is a software to make units. You can :
- Select the elements you want to add
- Choose their color
- Export the resulting ".png".
The 4 direction and the 4 step of the unit are displayed as well as the resulting animations.

What are the unique features? :
- The "Elements" are sold with the software. (near 100)
So you can sell a game using units made from "UnitMaker".
(if you import picture, check their license)
- you can import "Elements" (a simple ".png") and use yours with ours.
Why do we need you?
Because we want make it bigger!
We want to add some features (contextual help, copying colors, random unit generation, setting the size of the unit ...)
And we want to expand the number of "Elements".
For now "UnitMaker" can make thousands of unit. We want to make more!
Stretch Goals :
The first week theme (voted by the community) will be addedd in UnitMaker.
The second week theme (voted by the community) will be added in UnitMaker.
Allows to save a unit as a ".txt" file and reload it later with all its elements and colors. You can also change and save the size of the exported image.
The third week theme (voted by the community) will be added in UnitMaker.
You will be able to transform the elements (translation, rotation, scaling). The transformations can be applied to only a frame, an animation, or to the whole character. They will be saved in the metadata.
The fourth week theme (voted by the community) will be added in UnitMaker.
Mac and linux OS will be suported. (in addition to Windows)
The last theme (voted by the community) will be added in UnitMaker.
Huge change! Body elements can be changed like other elements. You can make unit with four arms or an unit wth his head directly on the legs... We will also add many new monster "body elements" like naga tail, or skeleton bones..
UnitMaker will be able to show several animation at the same time (move, attack, magic...).
This stretch goal add the feature in "UnitMaker" and adds extra controls to your own animations, but the assets will be done only in the next stretch goal.
3 new animations will be added (attack, shoot, magic). All the existing assets will be adapted for the new animations.
Risks and challenges
We're experienced and worked in bigger project, so there isn't a lot of risk.
- Technical risk : Both of us can do the prog part, so it should be ok.
- Artistic risk : If we're not good enough to make the artisic part, we will hire a graphist to do it. (and so, reduce our money share)
- Someone leave the team : The project will take longer, the leaver will be remplaced if needed (reducing his money share)
