Hey Everyone – Josh Berwanger here. Most of you probably know me from my days as the singer and guitarist from The Anniversary and The Only Children. But the last Only Children record “Keeper of Youth” came out more than five years ago – back in 2007 – and I had to put my music on the back burner for awhile.
What have I been doing since then? Well, lots, actually. I’ve been coaching High School Girls Basketball for the past 7 years, I’ve written three books that have yet to be published. I directed two short films and also have been concentrating a lot on my art projects and building custom amps. But the biggest news is that I’ve recorded two brand new albums, and that is the reason for this Kickstarter campaign!
Unlike any of my previous records I want to release both of them by myself. The goal of this campaign is to raise $3,500, which will be enough to cover the costs to master the records and release the first one, “All You Can Eat” on vinyl. And I think I can get there with your help. I’ve put a TON of thought into this for the past couple of months and I think I’ve come up with a good variety of incentives to earn your support. And $3,500 is just the minimum – if I can raise more then I can do extras like a gatefold cover, glow in the dark vinyl or higher end 180 gram vinyl.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have such a great support base from friends, family and fans over the years and I really appreciate anyone who’s ever come to a show, bought a record or just liked my music. And because of all that I’m really excited about this campaign. By pledging you can get everything from a digital or vinyl copy of “All You Can Eat” to rare and unreleased songs from my back catalogue – you can even try to beat me in a game of H-O-R-S-E or have me come to your town for a private concert.
I’m really excited that you can all help contribute to making “All You Can Eat” a reality. I’ll continue to post updates to this page throughout the campaign, and if you have any questions please feel free to email me with any questions.
