Jonah Productions is bringing the award-winning drama The Messenger to Manhattan’s Roy Arias Stages, 300 West 43rd Street, NYC, from December 13 through the December 30 WITH YOUR SUPPORT!
Set in real time, The Messenger chronicles the last hour of death row inmate Jimmy and his interaction with a prison priest, Father Keating, who desperately tries to get his last confession. While these men fight their personal demons with time ticking away---all under the eagle eye of a clock-watching guard--- the audience will find that redemption from sin sometimes comes from the unlikeliest of places.
Veteran stage actor Dante Giammarco portrays Father Keating in The Messenger and serves as director. The rest of the cast includes J. Domenic DeMuro as Jimmy and James Caceres as the guard Angel. The Messenger is being produced by Jonah Productions.
Playwright Paul Kodiak was an invited member of The Actor's Studio for several years in the 1990's where two of his full length plays were produced. His work has been presented in New York at such venues as Hunter College, The Actor's Studio, The People's Center Theatre at the American Museum of Natural History, Polaris North Theatre, and at The Statue of Liberty. My Brother's Keeper advanced to the final selection committee of the prestigous O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights’ Conference.

Risks and challenges
Manhattan, of course, is the proving ground for all theatrical ventures. An Off-Broadway production traditionally brings exciting, edgy drama to a broad, discriminating audience. The Messenger is no exception. It is a powerful, inspiring story of redemption and hope, one that will touch audience members deeply. Jonah Productions has already booked Manhattan’s Roy Arias Stages for performances running from December 13 through December 30. However, the curtain can not open without your support. Jonah Productions and The Messenger need to raise $8,000 for its New York run.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
