The business model reorganization is going well. We are about 9 months into a projected 18-24 month change.

I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome aboard Rick Hershey of Fat Goblin Games. He has agreed to lend his talents to the project as our new art director. He is really stepping up the quality of our art and layout.

The New Year!

Normally around Thanksgiving my thought turn inward and start reviewing the previous year. This year events carried me well beyond this date and into the new year.

Between my day-job with all the new initiatives and and the associated “do-more-with-less” directives from senior management, the game company and its day-to-day operational requirements, and finally the wonderful clients that provide the extra income to keep both the game company and my family afloat, I have many people to thank. Working the equivalent of two full time jobs for the past three years, I simply could not have done it without the help of many family and friends.

To the great Kickstarter backers that have shown patience beyond compare, THANK YOU!

To my local gaming friends that have provided moral support as well as coming over and helped with production, packing and tons of great advice, THANK YOU! Sorry for falling asleep during a couple of the game sessions.

To my family and particularly Tammy my lovely wife, THANK YOU! In the new year I will strive to keep better track of those pesky domestic chores. :-)

To help expedite the kickstarter rewards that are still outstanding, we will be joined by Stefanie G. as our new project manager. Stefanie was involved in some of the early play testing. She comes to us with a wealth of project management experience. Tammy has given her permission for Stefanie to kick my butt for overdue items. If that dosen’t work then she has Tammy’s cell number. :-0

The good news is that all the patches were out before the Christmas holiday. We have had three returns and are working on getting those back out to the backers. Don has agreed to work on getting the last of the ID cards and Bookplates out to the backers still waiting for them.

The bad news is that the company the was working on the PD Shield project has gone out of business. This is a tough market with low margins and I am sorry to see them go. Best of luck in your future endeavors, guys! This has now become Stefanie’s number one project.

A sharp eyed backer was comparing the PDF to the hard back book and found some discrepancies. It looks like the wrong version was uploaded to DrivethruRPG. In the next few days I will take the time to create the correct PDF version and upload it to the site. Drivethru should send a notice once the update is completed. You should just be able to login and download the newer version.
