Set in the height of the 1990's grunge rock scene, Rearview tells the story of an aging and drug addicted rock star that is on his way out of both the music scene and life itself.
As he makes preparations to end his life, he begins to reminisce about a recent encounter with a young girl named Heather. In this encounter, he makes an unexpected human connection as well as comes to realize that he may have a second chance at life.
As he comes closer to ending everything, he begins to second guess his view on life, as well as see Heather as a way out of his current plight.

1. Production Design
We are trying to recreate the feel of the 1990's grunge scene. This is going to be vital to the storyline. We have a production design team who is already working on assembling costumes and props that reflect this time period, many of which are not easy to come across. With a working budget, the will be able to secure production design items that will transform our sets and take the film's audience back in time.
As we are all students working on this project, we are not able to pay everyone for all the hard work they are providing to the project. One way in which we ca repay them is by keeping them well fed while on set. A well-nourished crew will also work more efficiently than one with no food in them!
The script takes place in the Pacific Northwest, but is going to be filmed in the Savannah area- a fun challenge for our producers and production team! What makes securing locations difficult is that the people we get the locations from have everything to lose. Not all people are comfortable allowing a student film crew into their house or business- regardless of clean their record is. It is very important for this production that we have some collateral to secure and take care of the locations we need.
4. Equipment and transportation
We are lucky to have access to some equipment through our school, the Savannah College of Art and Design. However, in order to increase the production value of our project, some equi0ment is needed that SCAD does not have on hand. We are lucky to have a facility in Savannah we can rent equipment from, but we will need funds to secure the equipment we still need.
Not only do we need equipment, but we also need to transport it (as well as our cast and crew) to set. Due to the large amounts of lights, lighting control, cameras, tripods, etc... that we need it is most efficient to rent a U-Haul for a few days. This also helps to ensure that all our equipment remains together and will not get lost or damaged. Also, since we are not able to pay our crew we feel it necessary to provide for their travel to set, since they are sacrificing so much time for this project.
