UPDATE: INITIAL FUNDING GOAL ACHIEVED! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
We are incredibly excited to announce that we reached our initial fundraising goal! Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed and supported us in getting to this point. We are so grateful to our family and friends and to be part of this amazing community. We have now raised the $17,850 that we needed to cover the costs of creating the album and promoting our album release show.
With five days left, we are now launching a second phase of our campaign. There are many other costs associated with releasing this album and bringing it to the rest of the world. Additional funding will help us press more CD's and release a vinyl version of the album, create live promotional video, allow us to work with a promotional company to bring this album to a wider audience, and maintain our touring vehicle. The breakdown of our Phase II fundraising goal is below:
Phase II Album Promotion: $8,000
Phase II Video Design/Production: $5,000
Phase II Additional Physical Reproduction of the album (more CDs + Vinyl): $4,000
Phase II Tires for the Van: $1,000
Total Phase II Goal: $18,000
Total Kickstarter Effort: $35,850
Thank you so much for helping make our dreams a reality. We couldn’t do this without you and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate your continued support!
Lots of love,
Julie, Becca, and Melanie
We are really excited about our reward packages that include some brand new merchandise!
Earlier this year The Sweet Lillies recorded their second album at The Caribou Room in Nederland, CO with producer Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon!
For the past two and a half years we have been traveling the country writing and sharing our songs. We have played hundreds of shows together and poured ourselves wholeheartedly into this musical journey. The three of us have come a long way together, and this album represents all of the love and effort that we have put forth.
This year has been filled with amazing opportunities. We headlined GoddessGrass with Bridget Law (founding member of Elephant Revival) in celebration of women in music and toured the Midwest with one of our heroes, Jeff Austin (formerly of Yonder Mountain String Band). Releasing this album will give us the momentum that we need to continue turning our dreams into reality.
We are asking for your help in order to bring this project to completion. We are so grateful to all of our friends, fans, and family who have supported us in reaching this point. Your kindness and generosity have made it possible for us to continue creating these songs and we are so excited to share the next phase of our journey with you!
Your donations are the foundation for this campaign's success, and your recommendations are the icing on the cake. Our community is constantly expanding as we meet the friends of our friends, and we need your help to continue growing this network.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of the support you have given thus far. We are incredibly grateful to each and every person who is able to contribute to this project!

Risks and challenges
The process of making a record is a labor of love with many inherent risks and challenges. We have put in an incredible amount of time and effort to ensure that this process runs smoothly.
We carefully selected a production team that is invested in our sound and our success. Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon (producer) and Andrew Gragg Lunsford (producer and engineer) worked together seamlessly. Their expertise and creative guidance helped us to capture our sound in its most authentic form.
We are extremely fortunate to have a network of support that spans across the country. So many of you have already expressed interest in helping us bring this album to fruition, and your support at this moment means the world to us!
